  1. Anything from £5k+ if you haven't already got a turbo or a supercharger.
  2. That won't be cheap. As said more details needed. Tony - whats the score with yours then? 390bhp and went pop? high miles? bad tune? Did you get to the bottom of the cause?

The OEM one actually does quite a lot. I can't remember exactly but its something like 75kg at 100mph! It really makes a difference when cornering at high speed. As does the front active spoiler as it counter acts the massive rear wing at high speed. Removal is purely cosmetic, or to achieve higher top speed due to less drag. Although with both OEM rear wing and active front spoiler fitted to mine I easily managed 175mph on a runway that was about a mile long (entering the runway doing about about 50-60)
  4. What mileage have they done? Do they lower the car at all?
  5. It is a pain, but as you say, it's worth it. I just hope you bought good quality led bulbs and not ebay ones, or you'll be back in there in no time Any guides are good and help people, but I'm sure there is one already for that? maybe I imagined it.
  6. Have I missed something? Who's been fighting?
  7. Ah right, that's not good then, Out of interest, why did you ditch the CAI ? Regarding the filter, I think Bennet has a couple spare not long ago?
  8. Not in the UK, I don't. Have you asked Abbey? I think they were gonna get some kits in stock at one point. Is there any particular reason you want the offset Vortech Cone? and not one of these - http://www.knfilters.co.uk/search/product.aspx?Prod=RX-4140

They do hide it pretty well really and handle surprisingly well for their size. Although they aren't as big as you think they just look it due to the huge bonnet. The UK ones in standard form are a bit soft, but are by no means 'bargey'. They also have very good brakes. The J-spec ones have smaller brakes but slightly firmer suspension. A TT6 (twin Turbo 6-speed manual) with UK brakes, a set of springs and shocks, good rubber and a proper geo set-up is surprisingly good in the twisties.

Nice Soop Ian. Lots of nice mods as well. Not a lover of the front bumper to be honest, but I always preferred the OEM front but with the active spoiler permanently down. Don't worry about the mileage, they are pretty much bullet proof at that power level. When I sold mine it had done 150k and still going strong....and it wasn't driven gently I do miss my BPU TT6 and its 'kick in the back' power delivery, but was just time for a change. I would definitely consider another one at some point though!
  11. I don't have any rubber mounts, but as the whole unit is supported, vibration shouldn't be too much of an issue. I hope lol. Regarding the 92 degree plate. When I bought my kit I emailed dw and asked specifically about that as on the kit in the description it said 80 but on the listing it said 92. They ensured me it was 92 and it was a mistake in the description, which was changed later that evening. I assume that the description on the item your looking at is incorrect also, so probably worth emailing them to make sure.
  12. Only just catching up with this, its very cool. I definitely need a V8 in my life, not sure if it will be in the Zed yet or something else, but will be keeping a close eye on this thread for inspiration and tips. Will be very interesting if you do develop a fitting kit that can be purchased! I always seem to miss the drift meets at Kings lynn and forget to look when they are on. I know it would be something I would love and would get bitten by the bug if I went. I'll have to keep an eye out.
  13. Each sandwich plate you get should come with an extension bolt, so when assembling you just screw one onto the other. (one for each plate) I see you've got rubber mounts for vibration, which is good, but bare in mind you need to support the cooler top and bottom or they can start to split and leak just hanging from one set of mounts. You can either make up a bracket for the bottom or use threaded bar and some nuts to support the whole thing. (see below my set up) I'm pretty sure that doesn't have the extra port, that is just the blank for the thermo spring. That all depends how efficient your set up is really. An 80deg thermo valve will actually start to open at about 65 deg and will be fully open at 80deg so may take longer for your oil to get up to temperature, especially in the winter where on a motorway run you might even struggle to even get to 70-80 degrees. Personally I don't think thats warm enough, oil needs to get fairly warm to evaporate any water or condensation caused by short journeys and such like. You may end up having to partially cover up your cooler in winter to get good oil temps. That is why I recommended the 92 deg plate from driftworks. Even that one opens early, at about 75deg but it means on a run in winter the oil temp sits at about 80 deg which I think is about as low as I'd want it on a daily basis. More information can be found here as I was trying to get it all in one post before - http://www.350z-uk.c...on/#entry853460
  14. As Dan said, that could well have been the problem. P0037 is a rear o2 sensor fault but is low input or faulty sensor P1146 /P1147 are the usual codes triggered by Decatting due to too much flow. This is when you need the spacers. You may have cured it now. If it comes back, check the code again and let us know, it could be loose/dirty connections, faulty sensor etc....
  15. That would be the ideal solution, if money is not an issue.
  16. Personally I would have just put another pair of RE050A on the rear. They are a better tyre then the Vreds which means your front tyres now grip more than your rear leading to oversteer. New tyres do take a few hundred miles to perform at their best, so the situation may improve but I suspect it is your problem if you only noticed it after the tyre change. So either get another pair of RE050s for the rear....or put on a pair of Vreds on the front. Both options will even the car up but the the first will give better overall grip. Also if you're lowered, probably worth getting a professional 4 wheel alignment done at a respectable/recommended place.
  17. Welcome to the club. Have a read here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/22880-guide-for-new-memberspotential-buyers/ for some tips, and any queries ask away on here. Also check out the for sale section, cars on here tend to be well looked after.
  18. Welcome to the club. As others have said, assess on condition, not mileage. Also ask the previous owner if its ok to run on 95ron. If they say 'yes' then walk away...cos its not. I thought I heard '99ron is hard to find in Ireland?
  19. Cool. RHD Gauge pods are hard to come by. Do you have anything in the cubby? easy to fit gauges in there......
  20. Looks good, looking forward to getting mine on, along with the smaller pulley So...whats tomorrow then Chris? another Dyno tune? Oh...and how is the clearance with the coupler and cog pulley now? Is there a bit more room?
