  1. Legend. Used to love Velvet Underground. RIP
  2. So did you check your brake fluid?
  3. Back of it looks like the front of a Transit van. Cool colour though, and I'm sure it's a hoot to drive.
  4. Before you go anywhere, check your brake fluid. If its not at 'Full' top it up to the max. This very commonly puts on the slip/vdc lights.
  5. Cheers for the reply, and would it do any harm using something else on top of it? say once a month to keep on top of them?
  6. To turn off the traction control - press the button by your right knee. However this is only the traction control and not the stability control. To turn off the stability control - unplug the yaw sensor underneath the center console. But that will disable all aids so beware.
  7. Is this 15ml bottle big enough to do 4x 19" wheels properly? and is it worth the outlay over the poorboys or FK1000P? I want something to use on my newly refurbished wheels before I put them on , and to keep them nice once on.
  8. Wendy, after some extensive research I can confidently confirm the answer is 4 Sent from the Jaaaaaag at the golf club YAAAARRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPP
  9. Not again............ Any super unleaded will do. 97 or above as it says in the owners manual, the fuel filler cap and on about a thousand other threads on here.
  10. Ok, I spent all night deciding, and having a go on photoshop........and this is what I'm hoping to go for if the shop can do it for me... My effort on the wheel And on the front wheel of the car... I just hope they can do it now after all that!!
  11. Not quite that brave, maybe too old as well... Yeah, they are at Wheel genie.
  12. Your right, there's not many of us that prefer the lighter shades of wheel. Thanks for posting the pics, I had seen that on google, it was what first made me consider a change of colour for the center. I think it suits the wheels very well, but not sure if it's too close to the body colour or not, or if that's what makes it nice lol.
  13. I've never been a lover of black or wheels that are too dark, I think once its in a dark wheel arch you tend to loose all the detail of the wheel and just end up with a dark circle. However, I have been looking at that picture (above) for a week or so now and love the look of it, I just don't know if it'll suit my car, or will just end up another black circle when on the car. That's why I thought anthracite might be a good compromise, not quite as dark as black but should still show the silver bolts up well. The black chrome will be lovely and shiney and show the wheel detail, but the bolts will be lost a bit. I hate decisions like this. And there seems to be know one available to photoshop on here atm. ...
  14. Cheers! Do you mean the wheel colour as well? Unfortunately they were corroded so needed to be refurbished. I really like the factory colour of them, but the polished and lacquered rim just won't last a winter. Also, it feels like you pay all that money for a refurb so they should look a bit different. I think the black chrome option will look nice without looking too different from now. Spoiler is a Spoiler Depot 'piggy back' from the US, but I'm not sure they are available anymore.
  15. Yeah, very different in the flesh. Maybe the above pics aren't the best illustration of colour.
  16. So my wheels are in for refurbishment and I'm struggling to decide on a final colour choice. I'm gonna try and have a go myself to learn to photoshop but I fear it'll take me too long and I'd like to let them know my final decision on Tuesday. So if anyone could help that would be great. Couple of pics of car - My colour choices are either.....Anthracite center/spokes with polished bolts and Black Chrome Rim/dish/lip . or.....Black Chrome center/spokes with a Chrome silver Rim/Dish/Lip Anthracite wheel for referance- Black Chrome wheel for ref. - Any help would be great. Cheers. .....maybe not an SMD photo edit......
  17. +1 on hollowpoints thinking on additives making a significant difference to fuel types and ecu's 'learning' and adjusting to different fuels used. My personal preference is tesco 99/momentum.

    Replacing flexi

I would advise replacing the flexis. They are only about a tenner each and any competent welder can do it for you. They are there for a reason, so I wouldn't risk replacing with hard pipe as it will just transfer the vibrations and stress to the next weakest point. I would rather periodically replace the flexis than change a cracked or loose manifold.
  19. I've had japspeed decats fitted for a few years without issue and they were second hand when I got them. I have heard of some that have cracked around the welds before, but it is a small minority. What exhaust do you have? Mine fitted to my invidia without any problems.
  20. I would recommend a little drive down stto Abbey Motorsport. Well worth the trip, and if your talking about actually tuning the Zed's ECU, then I believe they are the closest tuner able to do so. Have a search on 'UpRev.'
  21. Apparently the DE cannot pull enough timing to eliminate the knock caused by 95 Ron at 3500rpm and over. It is also in the owners manual and on the fuel cap to only use 97 +
  22. Do you shop at tesco? You can use your club card points to exchange for RAC membership. I done it a year or so ago (that reminds me it's due renewal) and got a family membership for 3 people with everything other than Europe cover for around £70 worth of vouchers, should have been around 200 apparently... If you believe the hype.
