I've heard of this happening elsewhere. One of the girls at work had her insurance renewal through and it had doubled. When she asked why, aparently there has been an increase across the board due to all the accidents in the bad weather. Added to that the steady increase in uninsured drivers means the normal law abiding ones end up paying. She kicked off, after some negotiation they dropped it a lot, but not all the way.

I'm with admiral. Nismo spoiler only added about £20 BUT I then had to take additional modifications insurance so that if it is damaged it is replaced with the same. Otherwise they would just replace with standard spoiler. Think that was another 20 odd quid. FYI they seem to"group" mods. So may be able to class all mods in one area as a single mod. I asked them about braided brake lines, uprated pads and slotted disks and they classed all of that as "modified brakes"

The sound (hollow) woudl go with your heat shield theory or a bit of trim... Jack it up and have a good look under to see if there is anything loose or exhaust hanger has gone and the exhaust is knocking. Other thing is to get a mate in a quite area to listen to it carefully from outside to try and pinpoint where it is coming from. (front/rear left/right). Helped me find that the rattle on my last car was poorly fitting brake pad. My missus had a god awful rattle once only happened on over-run when depressing the clutch - turned out to be a bit of loose metal in the exhaust.

it is a brilliant way to shut up idiots. I remember a group of these wanna be gangsta types challenging me and a mate to a pool game ( we were on the table ) Reluctantly we agreed but they wanted to do it for money only about £20. They were giving all the back chat, standing really close and trying to put us off then I put on my club hoody. conversation went something like.. them "you do martial arts then" me "yup" them "You any good" me "hmm ok done a couple of tournaments, I can hold my own" them "so what belt are you" me "Im a first dan black belt - hes a 4th dan" They shut up after that and their game went down hill rapidly!

See the drifting? only a bit. The stand was marked but because it was away from the rest of the show I dont think many ventured there. I had a wander down the paddock and took pics of some of the cars. Age shirt - it could be done on the the same format as films.. 12,15,18 ... and only for sale in licensed shops Some of the stuff there definatly fell in to the later category....
