  1. You aren't kidding there. Mine is one click between working and rolling so have to pull it hard and leave it parked in gear just in case. Mentioned it at the service and L&G and he said 'and?'. They had a go at it but it was same situation, just one click lower lol... 66K on my clutch and round town and rolling tests are fine. Trying to light the back end up results in not a lot and a dreadful smell so need to start saving up very soon.
  2. I know it is a bit geeky but have a look at YouTube and search for 350z exhausts. There are plenty of comparisons of noise. You can get anything from a lovely low grumble up to some coughing and spluttering howlers.
  3. There is also the TT 350 out pacing the Lambo as well...
  4. The fact the advert is in all capitals is even worse!! I hate that with a vengence. Makes my eyes burn trying to read it
  5. Bloody hell that must be a harsh ride. The wheels are flush with the body work but the clearance at the front looks like it can only be measured in millimeters!! Not liking the offset exhaust either. My head kept leaning to one side when looking at the back shot. Doesn't look right. Am not a fan of the white wheels either. Might be ok with a totally blacked Z but you can't tint the windows that dark so won't get the effect. Looks like a rather badly done chav car to me that one. Sorry.
  6. As said alot of people either use fancy sponges or sea foam sponges. I personnaly use the WOOKIE! its like washing your car with a cat. My brother perfers the megs lambswool. It might be but getting the cat on your hand like a mitt is a right bastard!!! Bloody thing wouldn't shut up!!
  7. Is this just a branding exercise and it is a good polish generally or is it to be used only for swirls and not for a car with perfect paint finish? Is it too abrasive for normal use? Looking for something to use on the Zed for normal polishing as well.
  8. My partner has gone and washed her very dirty nearly new car (not Nissan) and in the sun it now has the most wonderful swirls catching the light It is like a metalic azure blue and I want to have a go at polishing them out over time or at least lessening the effect. I don't want to use T-Cut as I have seen worse swirls made by over zealous use of it so wondering what the advice would be. Maybe when we well we will go get it buffed up but for now happy just to give it a polish regularly and see if that helps over time. I am guessing a medium polish regularly applied would be much better than a harsh polish and elbow grease?
  9. Second that. Mention the forum when you book. Know their stuff and a good set of guys to boot. Very happy with them.
  10. Or tell us what you got so we can go have a search???
  11. Just as an interesting note to all the other guys with two cars like me. I am with e-sure and they took all my no claims years above the max amount for one car and applied it to the other which was quite a saving for me so can't fault them for that. I don't think this would work too well if you moved to them as I don't think ur last insurer would quote your NCB above the max... Just thought peeps might be interested.
  12. Having a 'discussion' about this with a mate. I have two cars, Zed for sunny days and a work horse for the motorway miles so I have both cars insured under my name, gf is named on both if she needs to drive them. As only one of them is out at any one time I feel it is correct to have me as main and her as named on both. She has her own car insured in her name. Mate has bought his wife a little car for her and the his infants daily use. He has car already in his name for work but he has insured both cars in his name with her as named driver. Forgive me if I am wrong but isn't that fraudulent use of insurance if she is the main driver? He is convinced as the car is his he can do this. The main reason is she is young and very expensive to insure. By having him as insured and her as named he is avoiding paying the correct premium as she will be main driver and therefore liable to have the insurance invalidated at time of a claim when they ask why she was driving and she says I always do. He is arguing his insurance never questioned it but I pointed out he has claimed they are both his. Whats the score to be on the safe side here?
  13. Might sound pedantic but you must report this. If this guy is a budding crime wave the ONLY way the police can deal with it is by mounting evidence. If you report it can be logged and after enough incidents like this the police will sit up and listen. If you and everyone else that has problems with this family do nothing they will just continue unabated. Are they in a private home or council accomodation? Again for the council to evict or take action then need evidence and a complaints list the length of your arm is exactly what they need. It takes 5 mins, might not make you feel better but its all for the good in the long run.
  14. Why do you want to sell your old plate? Would you not want to keep it so you can transfer it back when you sell the car and keep your private one???
  15. oh... and I used to ride a motorbike with non standard plates and the grief I got about it was unbelievable so just wouldn't bother again. Everything was legal and I didn't speed etc but I often got a tug just to 'chat' about my number plate. IMO you WILL get a tug and a producer just for the plate alone at some point. If you are doing 33 in a 30 and you an odd one on you can kiss any chance of the police not being bothered to pull you if you get my meaning. My rebel days are gone and it just aint worth it. Thats my opinion of course.....
