  1. A Brittax Evolva 123 fits snuggly in my Zed. Nice big head and side supports. My 10 yr old still fits in it for long journeys as she likes the headrest for sleeping
  2. Oooooo.......white was my favourite but the black is also looking lush
  3. Good point raised there Ponsonby I often relate beading with dirt repellency but maybe this is not the case! I must say I haven't used my C2v3 since last May . Will dig it out for another play following your post reminding me of it being tucked away.
  4. Due to crap weather all I've done is wash my rims. Dried the front wheels with an electric blower so 95% dry. On passenger side sprayed and wiped on Sonax BSD as a drying aid to the face and lip. On the drivers side the TW as a drying aid. Nothing scientific as there was Optimum Optiseal placed 3 weeks ago. Will spray with Powermaxed Jetwash and Wax and power rinse off as a touchless wash every few days and see how it compares just for fun.
  5. You're lucky to get one. Loads of people are getting emails apologising that there's no stock despite the system saying there was when they ordered. Sounds like there was a few hours of frenzied orders where the computer system couldn't keep up
  6. Welcome to the OC. Another Cheshire member here
  7. Best money saving tip so far is "your little helpers" I bet they work for peanuts..........or raisins and crisps
  8. I've got gloss black wheels with diamond cut faces on my Kia. It's not just the protection you lay down but A VERY GENTLE wash technique that's needed. The wheels collect alot of coarse brake dust and dirt. You wouldn't go scrubbing that off your bodywork paint aggressively with a brush for fear of swirls. The wheels are the same. If not gentle when washing them, the gloss black finish will swirl up in no time.
  9. Well the lights are on AGAIN. It's the all black switch above the brown/black cruise control switch. I replaced the brake light switch a few years ago wit an OEM Nissan one thinking it'll be premium quality and last. In 14 years ownership and 60k miles my second one has now failed. Not had this happen on any other car so I'm guessing the Nissan ones are a bit rubbish. So I spent just over a fiver on a generic one https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2005/p/car-parts/electrical/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/car-switch-and-car-sensors/?464700040&1&9572e9ec83fab9414d1914b8c35be537361637ec&000415 With the frequent flash sales it can be had for a little over a fiver instead of £40-50 for a Nissan one! It's in and working. Even if it only lasts 5 years it's an easy enough fix but I wouldn't bother with a Nissan one guys.
  10. Mine's arrived. Will test it side by side against Sonax BSD on a section of the Zed's rear bumper with repeated washes every few days
  11. That's a "serious" rear end
  12. Ooooo.......these rear lights are definitely a MUST HAVE. In the same way as the later 350z rear led clusters were they totally transform the rear. Side by side the old clusters look very retro "Lexus lights" esque As for flash or sequential you can't go wrong as the lights look so damn nice it doesn't matter
  13. Coolest replica I've seen
  14. This product seems to be blowing up in the US and over here. Using the discount codes on carparts4less it's about a fiver. Spray Spread Buff. Jon at Forensic Detailing says it's nicer to use than Sonax BSD, almost beads as well BUT is EXTREMELY chemical resistant to shampoo, wheel cleaners and fallout removers. A true game changer FOR. PEANUTS Watch this guy hit it with detergents and fallout. Even the toughest chemicals just bounce off! My bottle is arriving Monday Problem is I still have about 6 litres ofy current favourite Sonax BSD/Chemical Guys V07 Hybrid Sealant 50:50 mix left
  15. I just used my fingernail to pick and peel it off. If older and more stubborn, a little GENTLE heat from a hair dryer should help
  16. That's battle scarred paint protection film. I hate the look of it and peel it off any cars we've had. Took it off our Kia 8 years ago upon delivery. I haven't seen any detrimental stone chips without it. If it was me I'd just peel it off and bin it. I can understand putting PPF on a bumper, but a tiny few square inches seems as pointless as wearing a bulletproof Blue Peter badge into a war zone.
  17. Just this moment read that you're using Westway Nissan. That's about 20-30 min from me. Almost bought my zed there. Had I known earlier I would have offered to help when you were in Jamaica. Hope it all works out well. I had teething problems when I got my zed new in 05. 1.Rattle from the Nismo spoiler due to a detached bolt inside. 2.Clicky axel 3.O2 sensor went 4.Rear number issues. 5.Skipping CD player. I was pulling my hair out. First new car I'd ever bought and it seemed every few months I was back and forth to Westway Stockport. Alas after 2 years all the teething problems were sorted and it's been relatively trouble free since 2007.
  18. Truly a deep red. Like a toffee apple
  19. Welcome to the OC
  20. Boooooom.......that was quick! Congratulations. Gonna be a great summer for you. Don't think you'll be using your AC though. You'll be driving with the windows down listening to the roar
  21. Too good to limit us to so few pics. More please especially from the rear
  22. Welcome back to the OC You should post pics up of your transformation.
  23. Looks as cool a gadget now as it did back then on your Zed. What would be really cool is having one on the rear that you could activate when some prat drives right up your rear. A nice BIG one with a suitable "polite" message on it
  24. My sunset at twighlight
