  1. Welcome to the OC Hope your problems are small ones. We need pics of new members cars though
  2. I always make sure I have a supply of Gtechniq C4/C1/C5. Never been brave enough to do the whole car but do the wheels yearly along with plastic trims and headlights. Your rims are so glossy I thought for a moment they had diamond cut faces!
  3. I'm a fan of Auto Finesse Tripple too. Used it with a rotary pad on a cordless drill here....
  4. My friend fell for something similar years back. Bought a limited edition light sabre on eBay for a bargain £25. Arrived and it was only 2 inches long
  5. Nah......just needs lowering and spacers
  6. A friend has had a go with some of this
  7. My zed has been left standing for 4 hours now, so nipped out to check oil level. On first removing the dipstick I get similar. Reverse side Main side First wiped and redipped. Pulled out 4-5 inches then held the dipstick by handle with one hand and 4-5 inches lower down with the other for a steadier withdrawal Reverse side Main side So sometimes the level is easier to read on the reverse side, sometimes the main side. Definitely improvement as you wipe excess away and repeat. Also I think my oil was still warm after 4 hours. This warm weather probably doesn't help to reduce oil temps after just a few hours. Road level is vital too. My brother had a brand new car Told him the importance of regularly checking oil levels. He was shocked it was at min. Topped up with 1 litre. Following day checks the oil....... it's wayyyyy over. He's however parked on the other side of the street and tells me it's on an incline Siphoned out 1 litre and checked on a level surface at his work and discovered all was well even before he started messing with oil at max from the factory
  8. I prefer the look of your current 370z with the silver wheels and minus the GT edition decals. I can see why you were smitten by the Temper Orange......it is a lovely looking Zed
  9. Wow......I can see what you mean about alot of oil smearing your dipstick. It does appear that you're half way between min and max there. So in 3 months you may have lost the 500ml from the max to midway level, plus the 300ml you added as a top up. What mileage have you done since your oil change? Also is it an old DE or rev up etc?
  10. Nice job there. Good to see another well cared for Zed. The blacked out center on the front lip makes it look so much more aggressive than standard
  11. Did you take the top film off? Like a plum I applied my clear film and it looked all cloudy/ripply so I took it straight off. Later got told it was because of the top protective layer that should be removed at the end
  12. Really hated the tyre sidewalls that originally came with our Mini. Lots of textured lines making the application of tyre dressing a really unsatisfying chore. The fact they are 65 profile made it even worse. Loving the smoothness of those Yokohama sidewalls above
  13. Engine bay clean with MF towels and APC. Dressed with Autoglym rubber and vinyl dressing. Only about 90% clean with today but improvement non the less.
  14. Did another touchless wash today using the same method as before. Seeing how long a touchless little but often approach can work in this dry dusty weather. Surface still looks and feels the same after.
  15. You mean there was a top film to remove What a plum That'll teach me to just watch a couple of YouTube videos and think I don't need to ask specifics
  16. Never seen vents so perfectly executed. You sir are a Don. And your zed is just evil
  17. If MacGyver or The A-Team ever needed a base....... it'd be The Zed Shed. Mad skills at work there
  18. Maybe in a couple years when the C4 fails, I'll try a premium film or even pay a bodyshop to add clearcoat to them.
  19. Alas it was only £3.69 so no great loss Plus it got me practicing wrapping something.
  20. Sprayed the light with water containing a drop of fairy liquid. Removed film backing. Chucked the backing and held the film that had the sticky adhesive side. Sprayed soaking both sides of the film with the water/fairy liquid. Layed it over the light. Used the felt covered squeegee included to press out the water smoothing outward from the center. Used hair dryer as I went to soften the film as I pulled and stretched. It was going on ok, but the film itself wasn't a good batch. Headlight was clear but even after smoothing the film out the film still retained a slightly cloudy look. Kinda like a transparent plastic lunchbox that is clear but not in the same way as glass. Should have taken some pics but I was preoccupied in taking it off before the adhesive had time to really become steadfast.
  21. Our dog used to snore. Used to look so comical. Dad falling asleep snoring on his armchair, with the dog resting her head on his ankles snoring in unison She'd even twitch and growl as she was dreaming.
  22. If it helps anyone, I definitely found that using wet and dry made the process easier and gentler on the lenses. In the past I went straight to pads and polish. Yesterday was the first time I'd used wet and dry. I think that without wet sanding, because there is so much for the pad to do, there is a tendency to work the pad too long and hard producing heat which could possibly damage the headlights.
  23. Alas my clear tint film wasn't to my liking. Lost alot of clarity probably due to a poor quality film. So I stopped half way, removed it, cleaned and ipa'd the surface and applied a coat of C4. Going to apply another layer after 24 hours to hopefully boost durability.
  24. Why didn't you post earlier coldel? I've only gone and copied Davey and have the exact same finish
