As already mentioned, you need to run AC even in winter once a week or so to stop the AC hoses drying and cracking. If you don't want to use it daily but only once a week or so, follow this procedure. On switching the AC off, turn the temperature setting up. Fan speed o high. Open window a little. After a few minutes, the water that had condensed in the system will be evaporated off and blown out. You can now run the heater or fan without steaming up. Once you use AC again, water will condense in the system again and as soon as you switch AC off your windows will steam up again. But on a cold day the AC will help demist the front screen alot quicker than running the heater blowing onto the windscreen. ....but then you're faced with the above procedure again to dry off trapped condensed water if you want to run with AC off again.

A bloke brings his best mate home after work to meet his wife. His wife screams "You fecking dickhead, my hair and make-up are a mess, the house is a right fecking tip, the dishes aren't done, I'm still in my pyjamas, I can't be bothered to cook and it's my time of the month!". "Why the feck did you bring him home?". The husband replies "Because he was thinking of getting married".

I have a pair of Kirkland Signature ones from Costco. Lightweight Polarised Anti glare coating on the inside of the lenses Only cost me about £30. My 2nd favourite pair for driving are some cheapo polarised ones from NEXT. Polarised again but have spring loaded arms unlike my Costco ones making them easier to open and put on mid drive. Kind of ironic how these two are finally my all time favourites after spending hundreds on numerous fancy pairs over the years from the sunglasses hut etc. I suppose some fit certain head shapes better and my nut suits these budget ones.

I like to think cars are like people. Your average couch potatoes will live life just fine being fed on doner kebabs, beer and custard creams. They don't even need to warm up or stretch before the taxing task of nipping to the shop for some fags and may even live to see 100! A high performance athlete like a cage fighter is different. Treat him to the same diet and fags as his couch cousin and he won't perform as expected. Without a warm up he will pull muscles left right and centre, especially as he gets older. On the flip side if all you want your zed to do is pootle it's life away like an average micra I dont think it will DIE on a diet of "kebabs and beer". I've read lots of oil analysis threads and am amazed how different oils affect wear rates of different components on differently tuned zeds. -
On a serious note, when on holiday I slap a DISCLOK on my cars and take the keys with me. For day to day use i use a steering lock called "THE BAT" which resembles a metal baseball bat that clamps onto the steering wheel. Not as secure as the DISCLOK but smaller and quicker to use while still offering certain "security" benefits:lol:

Hello and welcome from a fellow Manchester owner. Owned my sunset orange zed for over 8 years now and still love it to bits. I will look out for your temper orange when i zip up and down Manchester .

My bro has the Goldrings and the Bose. Bose wins hands down......just costs loads more! I have the QC3s. Replaced the ear pads last year as the leatherette was starting to flake off. The fact spares are available is a bonus as all the headphones I've had with leatherette earcups fail in this way eventually and make it look like you have black dandruff on and in your ears!

I had a similar problem once. I put the battery in upside down.

Can any tyre fitter change a tyre without damaging a rim or does the average equipment they have make scratching the rim unavoidable? With my OEM 18's the tyres were changed twice and each time damage occurred. First time they scored the rim around the bolt holes with careless socket use. Second time and different fitter left claw marks where the machine clamps grasped the edge of the rim. Luckily when I got my LMGT4s a work colleague introduced me to her cousin who owned a tyre place and all was well.No marks. No worries. But now he's sold up and disappeared. There's a new tyre place near work. Guy changed tyres on my wife's 15" Mini rims OK. Just don't know whether to trust him with my 19" Nismo's.

Spotted today about 6.30pm. Only caught a glimpse of you so no chance to wave

I'm loving the car AND the rims. For the plastic trim I cannot recommend Gtechniq C4 enough. When I used it it was like one of those WOW moments like the first time I discovered a clay bar or IronX. Even after multiple hits with APC and IPA it cleans out loads of old dressing from the plastics. Leaves the plastic "as new" with no glossy or greasy finish. No runs in the rain. 2 months after applying C4, my mini's plastics are still beading like crazy and look as good as they did leaving the showroom 7 years ago!

Does this belong to anyone on here? The correction is top notch, with the lighting and angles showing sunset paint at it's best:#1: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=313057

New girl at work pays £8k on a standard 56 plate Astra! 21yrs old, 1yr no claims living in Manchester. She paid £2.5k last year on a 1.2 Corsa but wanted a bigger car causing the premium hike. God knows what the premium on a Zed would be for her.

When our mini was almost 3 yrs old we were losing coolant at almost a litre a week. Was the thermostat housing in our case.

Most memorable visits to the cinema for me. Primary school days. Dad took me to see STAR WARS at Odeon Leicester Square. Blew me away.and hooked ever since. When I was 19. Saw Jet Li for the first time as Wong Fei Hung in Once Upon A Time In China. Was a midnight showing for all the HK movie nuts. The whole theatre went nuts. Last but not least. The Matrix. Visuals took it to the next level. I don't think any other action based films have been as revolutionary as these. Maybe you can jog my memory if I've missed any others.

Looks interesting.... what time you going Andy? Any idea how large the venue is? I've got plans at the moment but if they fall through i may make an appearance! Looks interesting.... what time you going Andy? Any idea how large the venue is? I've got plans at the moment but if they fall through i may make an appearance! Not often the missus wants me out the way for a morning without the kids so I'm gonna be there from 10-1pm. When I used streetview to view the location it looks like a.large industrial estate with plenty parking. Not sure how many going, but I know that they have regular detailingworld meets there with some show and shine prizes occasionally. -
Megs NXT metal polish and Autoglym SRP works. Obviously much easier with a machine than by hand but these 2 products have worked for me. Did mine a few weeks ago http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/70928-headlight-correction-using-srp/page__hl__%2Bheadlight+%2Bcorrection
