  1. My back was so bad once after washing the Zed I couldn't even breath without shocks of pain, let alone move! Got a friend to take me to A&E thinking "slipped disc" Good news.....muscle strain only Bad news....the test involved the doctors finger and me clenching, I FELT VIOLATED! The pain us dedicated zedders go through eh Chris
  2. Top job there Hope your back is getting better.
  3. Both 0w30 and 5w30 will be same consistency when warm. When cold both will be really thick, thicker than when warm, but the 0w will flow better when really cold. So the 0w is actually better.
  4. Prepared all week for a nice drive from Manchester to Surrey for a wedding. Wheels washed and sealed last week. Car washed and waxed mid week. Interior done yesterday along with a final wash. 7am I topped up screenwash. Checked coolant and all.....all good. Last check tyres. One valve hisses as soon as dust cap is removed:-( Had to set off early so had to abandon zed for our mini. No MP3 capabilities. No DAB. No power. Puny seats. Grrrrrr. Suppose it was better than losing pressure on the motorway and getting a blowout! I should've got the tyre valves on my LMGT4s changed with the tyres 2 yrs ago. That'll teach me to be vain wanting to keep their original metal valves (now 6 yrs old)
  5. Nice find there sir Most seem to be running single exit exhausts......wonder why?
  6. My boss just got an 06 Vogue 4.something.......SUPERCHARGED. AWESOME! Only paid £12k since it had 100k on the clock. The previous owner had just replaced the front 2 air suspension struts and compressor for about £3k. Not bad considering on his A8 Audi wanted £3600 just for supplying 2 front air suspension struts! He only lives 6 miles from work so the petrol doesn't worry him. A proper baller ride. Reckon you'd look proper shady in a blacked out black one
  7. I personally wouldn't give it to rookies like Halfords to fit. You have to remove the centre console covering the gear stick to the dash pods. Post up your location and see if others can recommend someone who knows how to get the console off. That's what I did. Even then I printed off the forum diy guide in case the fitter had "forgotten" My fears were unfounded as he seemed like he could do it with his eyes closed.
  8. Proper man truck you have there
  9. Gets a from me. In fact, stick 4 rings on the grill and an RRS5 badge on the boot and it could pass as an Audi
  10. Forgot to say thank you Monsieur DoogyRev for posting this handy guide up. I would be SMILIELESS without it
  11. I think you would lose a few channels like DAVE on freesat
  12. Jo Guest. Did you want a new factory fresh model.........or the old original as a restoration project ?
  13. I envy the more spanner handy members. Too little skills and too much fear of buying a lemon when it comes to buying an older sports car. I was umming and arrring over buying a 10yr old Supra back in 2003 when they were 10yrs old. I'd have a nervous breakdown buying a 20yr old model Hence the the question of a factory fresh revival.
  14. Genuine Nismo kit or not......SHE'S lovely To be honest, I didn't even think of getting a zed until I saw the an Azure Nismo'd as one of the staff cars in EVO magazine. Then it was straight to the dealers for a test drive. The rest is history!
  15. NSX is one sexy beast inside and out. ......but I never understood the performance figures. The 3.2 was rated at 280bhp with 0-60 of 5.7 sec. The R34 was over 100kg heavier, rated at 280bhp but 0-60 in 4.5 sec RX7-RZ 0-60 in 4.9 sec. At 5.7 sec it seems the 370 would leave the NSX for dead. I'd still have the NSX over the 370z though
  16. Although some of the new concepts bringing back the classic names of "Supra" and "NSX" look interesting, I was more talking of bringing back the classics in their ORIGINAL form. No new R&D. No "refreshed" light clusters. No new engines. Possibly a nicer leather interior as an option but that's it. Just imagine the engineers dusting off the old blueprints in preparation of resurrecting the old greats
  17. Why o why haven't Scorpion brought out rolled tips on their 350z offering If they did, I'd buy one tomorrow! I like the Cobra tips, but I like the Scorpion and Miltek box as the Cobra looks a bit small to me. C'mon Scorpion, pull your socks up.
  18. I found myself flicking through the pages of A-Z JAPANESE PERFORMANCE CARS by Chris Rees. Looking at cars from the Silvia ZXs up to the 350z. The 90's......ahhhh, what a time for the Japanese performance car. Evos Supras Nsx RX7s The list was endless IF THEY BROUGHT THE OLDIES BACK FROM THE GRAVE, WHICH WOULD TEMPT YOU TO PART WITH YOUR DOUGH, AND HOW MUCH SHOULD THEY RETAIL AT IN YOUR OPINION? For me the RX7 is THE ONE with the supra a close 2nd In 1992 Mazda UK reduced RRP from £32k to £25k. I reckon even at £32k today it would be tempting.
  19. Looks top dollar
  20. Check out this video on YouTube: 8yr old girl tells dad 2yr old brother is stealing stuff from her room at night. Dad says lock the door. Daughter says he still manages to get in. The video says it all
  21. Careful there BBK, I had a friend end up in A&E from eating too much! He went to a buffet...all you can eat, Went home. All was well. That night got outta bed real thirsty to get a drink, but collapsed with paralyser legs. Dragged himself to the phone and called 999. At A&E they diagnosed severe dehydration due to all his fluids going to his digestive system. Put him in the hallway of A&E on a drip with all the staff sniggering each time they passed by 30 mins later all was well.
  22. That plate sucks! I was quite envious of the owners of the plates "MY 05 ZED, MY 06 ZED" etc Not sure how much those plates were worth.
  23. You gonna eat ALL that YOURSELF
  24. My 4 yr old daughter is iron man crazy. She has no concept of cinema classifications but knows "12a" is the number she wants so mum can take her to see it! Few weeks ago she went to a party. All the girls in princess gear except for our "little miss iron man"
  25. +1 on the belts. Had this on my other car. Was expecting a new alternator needed as it sounded like this was the origin. Nice honest garage said it was just the belts......no cracks just a bit shiney. Strange thing is though, on the zed my belts were cracking like a trooper but gave no audible sign of wear and their true poor condition was only the visual cracking
