  1. When I was in my teens this happened when my dad was driving us home about 2am. It was an British Leyland Allegro and he mustn't of pushed the bonnet down properly. The bonnet slammed up AND OFF! Luckily road was deserted. Dad slammed on the brakes. We looked behind.....and a second later saw the bonnet come back to earth.
  2. Congratulations on your purchase. I'll be looking out for you in my sunset coupe during the daily commute from cheadle to Rusholme. The only other Zed I see around is a white Nismo kitted ragtop. Waved at him many times but never a wave back.
  3. I bought a set off Zmanalex 6 years ago. Still going strong.
  4. Lockwood and Greenwood do MOT too. I always tend to source my own oil and parts. They have no problem with that and will gladly supply parts themselves. I have found Zmanalex at Clarkmotorsport very good on parts for prices and speedy delivery. I have ordered pads, plugs, belts, etc off him and L and G have fitted them. They've been servicing my zed for the past 5 yrs and she's still running as smooth as when she was new. I know one of our moderators M13KYF (another stunning Azure owner) also uses them as he pointed me to them. So that must be another reassuring thought. Don't forget to mention you're a club member for a discount!
  5. Lockwood and Greenwood in Audenshaw Manchester service alot of us Manchester members. Give a club discount too.
  6. Very sad to hear you've sold up. Never thought I'd see the day you part with your gorgeous azure. Alas I wish you all the best on your quest for your new project. I hope we don't lose you on the forum though Chris so post up updates of your new acquisition when you find one. Andy
  7. I don't post much but this needs another Some modify their cars to show WHAT CAN BE DONE. But as Chris Rock once said "Just coz you can drive a car with your feet....DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT"
  8. Can't be tattoos. You'd have to be pretty messed up to get those extra eyes tattooed permanent onto your face!
  9. These artists got some great skills. http://mp.weixin.qq.com/mp/appmsg/show?__biz=MjM5Mjg2Mzc2NA%3D%3D&appmsgid=10000837&itemidx=4&sign=f2f9a3b097a6c0f975341c4b558172a8&scene=1&from=message&isappinstalled=0&uin=MTk2OTE1ODE2Mw%3D%3D&key=703263b870c1e32ec9c201ea7458d577f13c4458800367e543a37a4f79abdc3868ca2679883a8ee46354d823d429c8f6&devicetype=android-15&version=24050102〈=zh_TW
  10. I've had my LMGT-4s for over 6 yrs on my zed now. The zed is my daily driver. I've never needed more than normal shampoo and gentle agitation with a micro fibre cloth to clen the wheels. Every month or so I use an all in one cleanser wheel sealant namely WHEEL GAURD by Chemical Guys and that's it. Your rims look in good condition so I doubt you'll need much more. Regular shampoo then a sealant of your choice.
  11. Costco are doing their offer again on Castrol oils from 4/11/13 to 24/11/13 For us zedders their Edge 5w30 is only £23.98 incl vat for 4litres Opie oils have got it up for £41.99 so it sounds like a good deal.
  12. Way back someone recommended one of these http://www.amazon.co...op phone holder Not the exact seller I bought from but looks identical. 2 plastic plates and a hinge. Supplied with adhesive for the base and one of those sticky gel pads to "stick/hold" the phone. Had mine for almost a year now and the pad is still sticky. Never drops the phone as long as I don't use a textured matt like cover. I cut a black piece of cardboard so it was a tight fit in the centre cubby floor. Stuck the base plate onto the card and jammed it in. My Galaxy S3 fits in nice in landscape mode with adequate space at the side for my 3.5mm jack to attach and go to my 3.5mm input on the headunit. Can then play my tunes, use it as satnav, and when a call comes in I can answer with sound coming through the speakers with the phone mic doing all the work. If I had a Bluetooth headunit it would be ideal but the 3.5mm cable doesn't bug me enough to change the headunit. The stand is small enough to hold my S3 in the cubby and allow the cubby door to close with S3 inside. Cheapest, laziest cubby install ever
  13. Will be sharing this with all my mates. Thanks for posting it up.
  14. I remember years ago I had a car not starting. Apparently it was the coil pack that went. Ps. I'm no expert....just sharing my experience in case it helps.
  15. If it was your kid that got crushed as an innocent bystander im sure most dads couldn't guarantee they wouldn't lay into the little scrote.
  16. Don't worry....that's nothing. My cousin bought a brand new car. A week later the boot was rattling like a trooper. She drove straight back to the dealer to complain. HE POLITELY HELPED TO CLOSE THE BOOT PROPERLY FOR HER...job done
  17. I bet this isn't the first mindless act of bullying behaviour this cowardly scumbag has dished out. He probably made life hell for many fellow schoolkids at his school too. No doubt hell use some lame excuse of how he was maltreated at he etc etc as to why he behaved like that.

  19. As already mentioned, you need to run AC even in winter once a week or so to stop the AC hoses drying and cracking. If you don't want to use it daily but only once a week or so, follow this procedure. On switching the AC off, turn the temperature setting up. Fan speed o high. Open window a little. After a few minutes, the water that had condensed in the system will be evaporated off and blown out. You can now run the heater or fan without steaming up. Once you use AC again, water will condense in the system again and as soon as you switch AC off your windows will steam up again. But on a cold day the AC will help demist the front screen alot quicker than running the heater blowing onto the windscreen. ....but then you're faced with the above procedure again to dry off trapped condensed water if you want to run with AC off again.
  20. Nice little video for you martial arts fans
  21. A bloke brings his best mate home after work to meet his wife. His wife screams "You fecking dickhead, my hair and make-up are a mess, the house is a right fecking tip, the dishes aren't done, I'm still in my pyjamas, I can't be bothered to cook and it's my time of the month!". "Why the feck did you bring him home?". The husband replies "Because he was thinking of getting married".
  22. I have a pair of Kirkland Signature ones from Costco. Lightweight Polarised Anti glare coating on the inside of the lenses Only cost me about £30. My 2nd favourite pair for driving are some cheapo polarised ones from NEXT. Polarised again but have spring loaded arms unlike my Costco ones making them easier to open and put on mid drive. Kind of ironic how these two are finally my all time favourites after spending hundreds on numerous fancy pairs over the years from the sunglasses hut etc. I suppose some fit certain head shapes better and my nut suits these budget ones.
  23. I got the same. I know it's not a proper solution, but if you don't sign in you can view new content. Just a pain that I have to sign in to post then out again to view new content
