  1. Ah ok, so you cant use the original position and just put a different sender or gauge in
  2. Out of interest, can you swap the oil pressure gauge, with an oil temp gauge?
  3. 2 cars either side were pretty close, which is normal for most of the numpties that park there! Looked very clean, and standard.
  4. Fair play, looks pretty smart. I think the door handles need to be black as previously said, as does your washer bottle, or get some black mesh or some brake cooling ducts in there. Also a pair of clear indicator lenses would look smart in the back bumper. It different go everyone elses, and you should be applauded for that. The bit between the back of the rear spoiler and that crease line reminds me of the SLS AMG rear end.

Tedious link, but they are, through Renault. Though that is not something to brag about at the moment.
  6. Iv got a non resonated Scorpion, and love the look and the sound of it. Though its a cheap one, i still think its underated. Though obviously a true dual is the holy grail.
  7. Zmanalex was doing this service, maybe drop him a PM.

Thats fair enough, and good on you. I never said they were bad cars, and you should be congratulated for actually driving the car as it was meant to be driven. Its just that i feel you are in the minority of people that actually do that. The rest just buy it because of the badge.

The fact its not an M3, etc, is one of the main reasons I went for a 350 over the competition. I have warned him that compared to the mk1 TT he had before hand, its a very different driving experience, and he should be careful not to drive it in the same way. Though to be honest, he probably didnt get anywhere near the limits of the TT, so he has no chance in a Cayman S
  10. You will find alot of owners use the Ferodo DS2500 pads, me included, because they are a good compromise between fast road/track and normal use. The DBA discs are also very popular, but very good. However, there are many combinations, so do some research in the brakes section of the forum, and see what potentially would work best for what you want to do. Talk to Clarke and Cougar Store and discuss options with them also.

Thanks Will, maybe you have hit the nail on the head with that one. Instead of people buying them because they are great cars (which they are mostly), people are buying them because of the badge and what it represents to the outside world. Sort of what 90% of Ferrari drivers do I suppose.
  13. One of the best men at my wedding rocked up at my house on Saturday in a 57plate Cayman S, lots of extras and 19" Turbo rims (which I personally hate on the Cayman). Spoke to another mate of mine today, that went to pick it up with him, and apparently people were complimenting him on it, and saying what a nice car it is etc etc at the petrol station half way home. He told me it was the spec he wanted, but when I started asking what this and that did, he said he didnt know........ I know he has no intention of driving the car as it was intended, and just wants it because of the image it projects, and maybe a few fast seconds in a straight line. Question is, its a Cayman, yes, a very nice, well built car that goes well, what i cant understand is, there are thousands of them on the road, and you see them every day, yet people seem to respond more to it than the Nissan, is it the Porsche badge? Should i stick a few Porsche badges on the Nissan and see what happens? Or maybe I need to splash some cash and get a Cayman R or Maserati or something. Or maybe I need to grow up, and take solice in the fact that its only marginally quicker than the Nissan, yet he spent 20K on it, and I can drive better than he can.
  14. Remind me not to do you any favors I want to keep all my limbs I was short of cash! Lol
  15. It was from a member on here that hardly ever came on, and i work with him, but sold his car, and he offered it to me for £100, so i tore his arm off!
  16. Fitted a new Z speed Undertray at the weeked, which I picked up for £100 brand new, it just didnt have any instructions, and I couldnt find any on the web. The one bit, or should I say 4, that I was unsure of, was the 4 plastic spacers. I put them where the front bit meets the back bit, but against the chassis to bring both bits down. Is this correct?
  17. Now on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121327945939?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  18. Was in the Swift on Saturday, but saw a ginger coupe driven by what looked like a blonde chick in Aviator style sunglasses just coming into MK at Jnc 14 of the M1
  19. Yes,id still makesure the nuts are tight enough with a bar after, just to makesure, but must save loads of time when changing wheels over
  20. Its also worth noting that if you cut the top of the rubber handle out, the Halfords 1/4" rachet fits well in there, so you can use it as a breaker bar. Not that you are meant to use rachets for max torque....
  21. I quite like it, just feel the little triangle vents with mesh in them would look better filled, or maybe even with black mesh. Quite like the overall shape and style of it. As I said before, fair play
  22. Sorry i missed it, but hope you had a good day.
  23. Not so sure on the bottoms section, with the triangle cut outs, but love everything else about it. Looks good in that colour too. Fair play for being different and fitting it yourself.
