Yep, thats the one, was just finding it myself but you beat me to it. It is fairly slow yes, but it also teaches you how the car feels when you are approaching the limit, etc, and because it happens slowly, its easier to correct if you go wrong.

Me and a guy called Doug (who hardly comes on here but has a Kuro 350) went along, and had a great day. Works out cheaper than a proper track day, as we only went through half a tank of fuel, instead of a full tank, and its alot easier on brakes, etc too. Doug was down to the wear markers on his rears when we turned up, and we had a good look at them after, and there was no perceptable wear on them at all.

So is it worth getting a new one, or shall i just silicone it down? Im aware the trim on the A pillar covers needs attention also.

Came out to my car last week, and noticed the plastic strip that runs across the top of the windscreen had popped up on the drivers side. Closer investigation of the area noticed what i think is not quite right. Can people please let me know if there is anything wrong with these pictures please. Drivers side Passenger side

Barcelona always tends to be a boring race, but atleast we had the last 10 laps where things got juicy. Was nice to see the 2 Ferrari's actually having some close combat, cant remember the last time I saw that, if ever. As is the norm this year, the Mercs just went and never looked back. Great drive by Seb and Dan to get 3rd+4th, that was the best we could have hoped for, hopefully we can have a smoother run at Monaco and put more pressure on them, we shall see

Saw a nice Azure (they are all nice) going up the V10, was a couple of cars back, and turned on the H3 while they continued on. Looked nice and clean.

2 cars either side were pretty close, which is normal for most of the numpties that park there! Looked very clean, and standard.

Fair play,looks pretty smart. I think the door handles need to be black as previously said, as does your washer bottle, or get some black mesh or some brake cooling ducts in there. Also a pair of clear indicator lenses would look smart in the back bumper. It different go everyone elses, and you should be applauded for that. The bit between the back of the rear spoiler and that crease line reminds me of the SLS AMG rear end.

Iv got a non resonated Scorpion, and love the look and the sound of it. Though its a cheap one, i still think its underated. Though obviously a true dual is the holy grail.

Thats fair enough, and good on you. I never said they were bad cars, and you should be congratulated for actually driving the car as it was meant to be driven. Its just that i feel you are in the minority of people that actually do that. The rest just buy it because of the badge.

The fact its not an M3, etc, is one of the main reasons I went for a 350 over the competition. I have warned him that compared to the mk1 TT he had before hand, its a very different driving experience, and he should be careful not to drive it in the same way. Though to be honest, he probably didnt get anywhere near the limits of the TT, so he has no chance in a Cayman S

You will find alot of owners use the Ferodo DS2500 pads, me included, because they are a good compromise between fast road/track and normal use. The DBA discs are also very popular, but very good. However,there are many combinations, so do some research in the brakes section of the forum, and see what potentially would work best for what you want to do. Talk to Clarke and Cougar Store and discuss options with them also.

Thanks Will, maybe you have hit the nail on the head with that one. Instead of people buying them because they are great cars (which they are mostly), people are buying them because of the badge and what it represents to the outside world. Sort of what 90% of Ferrari drivers do I suppose.

One of the best men at my wedding rocked up at my house on Saturday in a 57plate Cayman S, lots of extras and 19" Turbo rims (which I personally hate on the Cayman). Spoke to another mate of mine today, that went to pick it up with him, and apparently people were complimenting him on it, and saying what a nice car it is etc etc at the petrol station half way home. He told me it was the spec he wanted, but when I started asking what this and that did, he said he didnt know........ I know he has no intention of driving the car as it was intended, and just wants it because of the image it projects, and maybe a few fast seconds in a straight line. Question is, its a Cayman, yes, a very nice, well built car that goes well, what i cant understand is, there are thousands of them on the road, and you see them every day, yet people seem to respond more to it than the Nissan, is it the Porsche badge? Should i stick a few Porsche badges on the Nissan and see what happens? Or maybe I need to splash some cash and get a Cayman R or Maserati or something. Or maybe I need to grow up, and take solice in the fact that its only marginally quicker than the Nissan, yet he spent 20K on it, and I can drive better than he can.
