  1. It was a 'feature' from Nissan. They could have engineered it out,but they would have had to reduce the quality of the shift, and increase the throw.
  2. Seems like a popular time for buying Zeds, well dome on your purchase. I picked mine up saturday, and love it,its an awesome car. Iv also got an Azure Blue one.
  3. Well i got her home last thing yesterday, after a day flying around and trip to the hospital, and all I can say is WOW,what a car. Its just amazing, and 3rd gear through tunnels is stunning! The only pic I have of her is this Iv not had a chance to give her a wash yet,as iv been too busy driving and showing her off! Its got the 5ziggen Y pipe but the standard exhaust after that, which is fine,as I work weird hours and set off early and come home late. Its not that bad on fuel,iv used half a tank, and done a fair few mile. I went to where my work is,and averaged 28mpg,which is great for me,as its a 30 mile each way trip. I do need a Road Angel though,so any suggestions or club discounts would be great.
  4. Are the wheels from a GT-R? If so,they must have cost a fortune, they suit the car really wheel, though must be a pig to keep clean and shiney.
  5. Hey Doug, hows things chap? Just got home from picking my Zed up,what a car! Needs a clean now though.
  6. Yeah i dont think i will sleep tonight, its going to be a restless night thats for sure.
  7. Im pretty excited that im picking up my 350 tomorrow from Cfoster. He happens to live about 15mins from all my family,so going to be showing it off to all them. Its been a long time coming, but so excited, and slightly scared, but I think thats good thing. Il be back online saturday night/sunday,so il get some pics up,cant wait. Any tips for a new owner would be good, other than taking it easy. Chris has been great with the buy,and great to deal with, cant thank him enough, except for the Red Bull that came part of the sale.
  8. Not to slate Milltek, but at FOS this year,my mate and I went to see the Milltek stand,as he has an E92 M3 and was thinking of getting one. The staff were very helpful and couldnt do enough for us. However, when looking at some of the backbox's,the welding was shocking, and the overall quality on the m3 kit was very poor. (weld spatter, really wonky welds, general poor finish) I had a look at the ones for the Ferrari's and Porsche's and they were mint. We were both shocked at the standard of the m3 kit though. Also have a guy at work with a E36 M3,and he has also commented that he has seen some really shocking quality on some of the Milltek kits. I couldnt believe that the had them on show to be honest,I would have been ashamed. Im not slating Milltek,as I said there were some kits on display that were perfect, but why display kits that are very poorly made,as surely that will do more harm than good, especially as the one we were looking at was £900. Im open to flak,as i realise iv just put my neck on the chopping block. Im now running for cover.........
  9. I cant remember seeing a red one around town,iv seen a black GT-R and a black 370 coupe, but no chiil red 350. No doubt il see you when I get mine. The beer festival last weekend was fun,I was as state, but not as much as some of them! There were a few floating around in Brackley at one point but I haven't seen any of the others for quite a while now (I have previously seen a Black Convertible, Blue Convertible, and a normal Silver one). Mines the Chilli Red one if you see it whizzing about
  10. PHEW,glad its the wrong colour for you..... lol Im in Brackley, and hope to get a 350 very soon,so when iv got one,itd be great to meet up with a few people and chat etc from around my way. Born and bread in Essex though, that I will never forget!
  11. Im sorry, but is not possible. I wish i could have dragged my jaw from the floor and taken some, but i couldnt.
  12. Was walking out my road Monday, and heard a right racket, couldnt work out what it was, then out of one of the side roads popped a one77! I dont think iv ever been speachless seeing a car,but it was truely jar dropping! I didnt even think to get my camera out to take a photo,i just stood there and stared as it trundled off. It was black with grey film infront of the rear arches. Dont know if it was a developement hack,or a customer car,but boy these things have pressence! Sorry about getting geeking, just thought id share.
  13. Well what a fantastic race. Despite what happened with the Red Bulls,it was a really exciting race. The hard work was done,we had the 1-2 in the bag,but maybe ego's got in the way. Thats what happens when you get 2 drivers not willing to concede, and just wanting to win. We saw it last year in Australia with Seb taking on Kubica when he had no chance. I just hope it dont cost us the championship!
  14. We went with a big firm because we are new to the area, and didnt know any local trades people that could do it. We thought,if its a big company, itl be done right, and the customer service will be good! What a joke!
  15. Sounds good Rich, aslong as you dont mind me showing up in an Astra Coupe! Not got Zed yet as waiting for my insurance to be sorted out when someone hit me before i can get a one.
  16. Its an absolute joke,im going to be pushing for as much humiliation and money out them as i can get. How dare they leave live wires in my house and screw up my ring main!
  17. We had our boiler replaced and moved from the kitchen to where the immersion tank was in February by Northern Gas. We went for a big company as we didnt really know or trust local people. The pipework going into the soil stack has been botched, but they have recognised this and are coming to sort that out. However,we had a kitchen fitted yesterday, and had a electrician round to change the fuse box and put a few new plugs in. When he tested the ring main signal after installation,he found it had a break in it. He eventually stuck his hand into a hole left by the old boiler, and pulled out a ring main cable! We went upstairs, moved the wardrobe, and pulled the carpet back. We found the flooring (chipboard sheets) had been cut away, and one part had been cut between the joists,so was only resting on the copper pipework! (Dont forget my wardrobe was in this area) We pulled these up and found 2 live ring main cables and 2 dead ring main cables just resting on the kitchen ceiling with a small piece of tape over the end! To say im disgusted is an understatement! Iv told Northern Gas,and leaving it with them at the mo. But will be seeking legal advice (My girlfriends mum is partner in a law firm, and her sister is also a lawyer) and il be going to CAB about it too. I will not let them get away with this! DO NOT EVER USE NORTHERN GAS!!!!!
  18. Well what an exciting race! Im dissapointed that the Red Bulls didnt do better, but the strategy had us over i think. Was good to see another exciting race,as its good for the sport. My only other wish would have been that Button finished 2nd to Hamilton, but you win some you loose some.

    Wheels

I use Bilberry Safe wheel cleaner. I bought 5l of it a long time ago,and still got 1/4 of it left. http://www.valetpro.co.uk/Products/Exterior-Cleaners/1128-/Bilberry-Safe-Wheel-Cleaner-5L You can dilute it to what ever strength you want, and it wont strip any wax on the wheels.
  20. This car is awesome enough to make me want a GM 350 over a blue one. Absolutely stunning work, couldnt think of anything id change on it. I hope you are very proud!

    My other car

Awesome car! I was taken for a ride in one by an ex hot pursuit police officer years ago,and it was stunning! It really makes a change to all the Scooby's in rally livery. Is the base of the rear wing in the 2nd pic Carbon? Its a different colour to that in the first pic.
  22. I agree,it was a pretty boring race (apart from us winning),everyone was expecting rain, and it never happened. Hamilton's drive was outstanding,he is great driver. However,if you are sitting that far back on the grid, then its just the way it goes. He did a great job. Was good to see that we can finish a race, and have the fastest car on the grid.
  23. I think there will be some front wings going a stray, especially at the back. Its certainly going to be an interesting race. Its good to see the smaller teams getting up the grid, certainly mixes things up abit.
  24. Well it looks like tomorrows race is going to be amusing! I cant believe Ferrari and McLaren made the wrong choice and stayed in the garage! Just hope the Bulls can stay on the track!
  25. I've got a tour round the factory soon, can't wait! I might be the only one, but I think Massa is overrated Awesome, hopefully see you soon then. I work in the composite inspection department,so if you get a tour through this area say hello. Im the young guy with glasses, usually. I know they were not bringing people through the composites area as they didnt want people to see parts for teh car etc. The lady who may show you round,Helen,is HOT!!!
