  1. Very F&F. lol A friend at work had an R33 GTR with new N1 engine, and that had the Hicas delete on it, he said it made the car more predictable and safe handling wise when pushing on, he had around 550hp. He sold it to Alan who was on here
  2. Liking the brakes alot, are they a big improvement over the standard 4 pots?
  3. I thought it was just the GTR that had the Hicas 4 wheel steer? Sorry, but thought that yours was a GTS not a GTR
  4. The spec is certainly tantalising! Looks like you have spent alot of time effort and money on the car. Any engine bay shots?
  5. Not a fan of the 996 interiors, or the boxsters of the same age, think they are a little low rent for a car that was at that price when it was new. Followed a 996 C4S round a track a year or so again, and apart from gaining a yard or so on the exit of the corners, where the 4WD helped, i keep pace with it on the straights, so was a little surprised by the speed of them. A friend of mine has recently bought a S1 997 C4S, and that is incredible, from the nice interior to the speed and handling of it. Having had a very recent experience following a 55plate Aston V8 Vantage and the 997 C4S, id say they are very similar regarding straight line speed. Not sure what id pick over the Carrera or the Aston. Id say the 997 is worth the extra if you can stretch to it, but would say the extra maintance and potential issues with the 996 era cars isnt worth the step from an HR 350. The 350 is also a rarer car too.
  6. So sorry to hear that mate. Im sure people will understand given the circumstances
  7. To be honest, you shouldnt need them at the back, even with the front up on stands, i can get the jack under the rear diff jacking point
  8. I like it that your private road has a tunnel, awesome! Looks seriously quick, what sort of WHP you got?
  9. Are these for pre or post face lift? The car in the pic is post facelift
  10. Same here, great jack, you just need to raise the car a little to get the jack under the front.
  11. I would say that maybe look at re assembling your spoiler onto your boot though. As if you look at the where the V2 meets the standard spolier, you can see a gap. Not sure, but you maybe run the risk of the air getting under it and trying to pull the spolier off.
  12. Iv had bad days, but nothing like that, jesus, You must have wondered if you would ever get there! Well done on your car though, sounds awesome, and i bet it goes like a stabbed rat. Hope you have a smoother run of things now, and you can enjoy the power
  13. And yes they are expensive, its the first thing i say to people before they open the door, as I always have a bottle of water in there.
  14. You dont have to remove the lower dash panel to replace these. Stick a flat blade screwdriver at the top, and push the tip down, the unit slides out, simples.
  15. Its difficult with the V1 vs V2 spoiler. The V1 follows the lines of the rear lights, where as the V2 goes in the opposite direction , but at a similar angle. Iv never been able to decide what one id put on mine, but neither look bad. I like the look of your car, think it looks pretty aggresive, which is cool.
  16. Had the TT comment a few times. And that was when i has Nissan badges on it.
  17. Im not saying the ones on the 370 are rubbish, far from it, just cant compare whats on an F1 or Hyper car to whats on a 370Z thats all. Im sure they would be worth the cost, especially on track.
  18. Hardly say thats a good endorsement, as the 370 brakes are nowehere near related to the ones on the P1. McLaren use Akebono on their F1 cars, which is why they are on the road cars. But its like saying the Brembo's on the Range Rover are related to the ones on our F1 car or the 350Z.
  19. I agree with the charity starts at home. One year i used best part of a £1000 of my bonus to get the bathroom sorted out in my sisters house, as she couldnt afford to do it, i also employed my step brother to go in there and do it all. So helped 2 people out in one go. There are so many charities out there, if you gave to everyone, then you would be claiming charity off them! I think that you pick a couple of charities that are close to you or your family and support them. Unless you have millions, and can support loads and it dont make much difference to your income. Im happy i do my bit, though not alot, i support my family when and where i can, mainly my sister, which to me is more important.
  20. Id just like to point out that the Oxfam HO is next to the law firm my mother in law works for in Oxford, and its an amazing building and cost an absolute fortune. Dont get me wrong, some charities are worth donating to or doing events for, but Oxfam is not one of them as far as im concerned. I donate to Air Ambulance and Cancer Research, to me the 2 of the most worth while causes going. Some people have got money, some havnt, its the way of life. Dont know if you have seen the Christiano Ronaldo thing doing the rounds on FB, but that amazed me, and how many cars and houses do you suppose he has?
  21. Bernie in jail, you have to kidding! Il do a Clarkson, and eat my own hair if he does!
  22. I thought about doing something similar, how far did you go with flatting back the original textured finish, or does a few coats of primer fill it all?
