I wouldnt say the car needs lowering on 19's, it looks better than it looks on 18's. I went for Varrstoen ES2.2's, and i really like the look of them. I think the wheels cost me £1200 ish, but I did get them done in a custom colour.

I agree, but when you can get the original pair regassed for £13 each, its a little hard to justify the extra £30. Sorry, didnt mean to hijack the tread.

I think Adrian Newey would take one look at that in the car park and order it to be ripped off! lol Nice action guys, I quite like it, though wouldnt fit it to my car. Is it to possible to make up a couple of ally blocks to push the legs a couple of inches inboard? Like a sandwich plate, mount the legs to the block, then mount the wing to the other side of the block? Would that help with the mounting?

Well i do need to get the car up to get the jack under. I may have mislead when i said racing jack, i think its a low line jack, so does not have the obvious drop at the business end, its just smaller than most normal jacks

Well the point was, that the stewards provided an offset to use with the senso, so it came close to what the proper limit should have been. We replaced the sensor Friday night, as it was faulty, then we got one that was even worse, which we swapped back to the original Friday one for the race, and told to apply an offset, but even that was not right. Hence why we thought to compy with the regs, we should use our own sensor, which we knew was correct.

Iv got the Costco racing jack (£90 i believe), and I still have to use ramps to get the jack under the car, but only need to raise it an inch or so.

LOL, dont worry Colin, seen all the funny comments and pictures etc. I know the engine from DR's car will be/has been put on a dyno infront of the FIA to prove that we were legal. Personally, it seems a little arrogant to me that we turned round to the race director and said, no, we are legal, we have our own sensor, bugger off and leave us alone. Hopefully the result will be reinstated, but im not counting on it. The dispute isnt as such that we were over the fuel flow rate, its more that we ignored the calls to adjust the fuel flow to comply with the standard. The sensors have been known to be iffy since the first test, but everyone is in the same boat

Well its disappointing to say the least to see Ricciardo was kicked out after a stupid faulty FIA sensor that we were not happy with, so in order to makesure we complied with the regulation for fuel flow we relied on our calibrated sensors. Hopefully the decision will get overturned, but who know

Whats RO water,distilled water? I have a water filter for cleaning the car,so i may use that to get the worst out of the water. Probably only needs half a litre

Just done some pre flight checks before heading to Southampton, and noticed that my coolant is at the minimum level. I dont have any of the offical Nissan coolant to top it up with. Can I use water, and just bring it up a little, or is there a coolant I can get from Halfords or somewhere that I can put half a litre in before my trip. Or shall I leave it and order some offical Nissan coolant from Clarke and top it up when I get it.

Your not kidding, they sound really pants. Bring back proper engines! Still,atleast we managed to do some laps today, and the car seem better than it was a month ago. If we can get some points this weekend then we will be happy
