  1. Well iv got all my boot trim out and feeding the cables through to the front. The guide by Aftershox is really helping. Am i right in thinking that if i wired the red power cable to a permenent live, then i would be able to watch the feed any time? I have the violet and white cable coming from the HU, which im guessing is where this red cable should go with, but will the feed still work if i dont connect the violet cable to the live of the camera?
  2. No worries,drop me a PM
  3. My favourite is Finish Kare http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/finishkare-108as-top-kote-tire-dressing/prod_635.html I bought a litre over 3 years ago, and still got just under half left. Dip the corner of a MF cloth in the open end, and wipe on, after iv done all 4 tyres, go round with the still damp cloth and mop up any drips etc. Lasts on the car for ages, so great value too
  4. That looks pretty sweet. Have you got any full on rear pics from the back?
  5. More significantly, I dont think I would appeal to McLaren.
  6. I think that it will be when we come to Europe before we get back on a level playing field. The Merc engined cars are doing really well, however, you dont know until the first race where people are with performance. Youve got to say the Merc and McLaren look good, however, if they are a second a lap down, its only a matter of time before the teams with poor reliability get their act together and start putting pressure on them. Cant help but feel that Merc and McLaren have gone conservative with there packaging, which is a good thing in some respects. However, the more tightly packaged cars, ours included, will get it together, and then we will see where we are. Newey may have shot himself in the foot a little now, but that will only make him more determined to get it right. Its a long season ahead.
  7. Oh FFS! Sorry, McLaren does not appeal to me im afraid AliveBoy
  8. It didn't go unnoticed Thanks all for humouring me atleast
  9. Just realised iv spelt Stereo wrong, through the whole tread! Doh
  10. Cheers chap, going to have a stab at it first, but its a nice run down to Bournemouth, so if it all goes Pete Tong, il get in touch and come visit the holy grail
  11. LOL, thanks for everyones help. I think im going to start attacking this tomorrow before work, get the rear view camera in atleast, then over the weekend i can make a start of getting the HU in and working, hopefully. Glad this forum is so good.
  12. Run into a snag, i cant download the manual yet, as iv reached my data limit on my phone, so il have a look tonight or in the morning
  13. Iv got the manual which il print out, but i dont think there is a view of the wiring etc, though il check when i print it off.
  14. Wow,cheers for the responses everyone, looks like we are getting there. Its a shame the original owner of this mess hasnt come forward to lend me a helping hand, as this is the state it came out of his car.
  15. One would be permanent live and the other would be for the ignition so it only turns on when the car is running. Putting them into 1 can save the hassle of the permanent live and draining the battery So shall i just try each one and see which one is just for the ignition?
  16. Any idea why i have 2 cables going into one for the battery?
  17. Cool, thanks. It dont look like its been connected to anything, previously, but dont know for sure.
  18. Yes it is a double Din, sorry should have said that. The yellow and black small cable is labelled Mute, and the thicker one at that end says Battery, but then it has another cable sprouting from that too. Any ideas on the purple one towards the bottom with a bullet connector on it? Think il have to have a stab and hope that I dont blow anything up/melt anything or throw my toys out the pram. So anyone fancy a beer round mine..... Thanks for your help Grundy, you have already been more help than the person who's car it actually came out of.
  19. Am i going to offer sexual favours or something to get some help?
  20. I know that the wires that are currently plugged into the main loom are for the speakers, but iv got some that I have no idea where they are meant to go. Iv got the steering wheel loom, which is fine, and the little one on the top right is for the BT, but where am I meant to put the yellow and black cables, and what is the extra blue cable for, as it has a bullet connector on it.
  21. Yeah thats not the problem though. Iv fitted a fair few HU in my time, but this has loads of unlabelled wires and as it was previously fitted to a car, has some connectors on there that dont appear to go anywhere.
