Hi guys As i posted before I won't be able to attend the Ace but defenetly up for local meets!! I don't think I'll be able to have free week ends untill Feb but keep us posted I'm all for a local meet starting up as well - this is a major reason why I got the zed - to cruise around with others that appreciate good motors. I'll try and sort something out after Saturday - although the weather is getting more crappy due to winter approaching. Next year will no doubt be a riot for sure.

* Just to put this into perspective the cheapest I could get mine was Around £900 for the exhaust £200 delivery from the USA £200 Gordon Brown Import Tax This is an amazing price guys - and you won't regret it If in doubt, come listen to mine on Saturday at the Ace Cafe.

Hello. I have a JDM and had my satnav / cubby unit replaced by a member on here called Nurrish. He has made a brilliant custom made unit that loads of members here have had installed from him. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=24395&hilit=custom+sat+nav Drop him a PM to see if he can help. (The jap version is useless to you - you can't convert or anything). -
Looking forward to it. I REALLY hope the weather is good to us - it is showing light showers atm!

I always thought the zed would suit the Gallardo Superleggera interior. Roughly the same kind of layout as the zed too... Depends on the theme of your car. Do you want a comfortable GT cruiser or a track day monster?

I've had enough...*CAUTION HIGHLY PERSONAL RANT*

I can see both sides of the argument really. People shouldn't really be copying the real deal - at the end of the day a craftsman, designer, etc have probably spent time making them using a wod load of cash to get them on the shelves. However, who are we to judge anyone that wants to make or use replicas? It's what business is all about - if someone can make the same product at a cheaper rate then this is called a healthy market and is generating competition. If the replica is then flagged as being more popular than the actual item then this is highlighting marketing problems with the originals (they are too expensive due to greed / no competition or their manufacturing & delivery is costing far too much inflating the consumer price). There is no right or wrong answer for me. Personally I only go for the genuine stuff because I know its going to be high quality that won't brake or look naff (hence the premium). If you want to spend less go for the replica - although your risk of the product quality is probably going to multiply quite a bit. In the end its a gamble the consumer decides to take. Copying others products is probably how a fair few large companies started out - can't all be unique. If it is really unique, the original manufacturer can copyright or even patent the design. The wonderful world we live in - choice! -
Yep.

Are you another one with a K1? I heard Nurrish's at the weekend and it makes my Nismo sound quiet.

PM Jerry3167 so he can add you to the master Ace Cafe list EdZed. Your number 50. viewtopic.php?f=93&t=23805

Brilliant! Any more? We will be leaving at 10am sharpish (try and be at Toddington services @ around 9.30am). Failing that Hemel @ 10.15 if your below us. I think it would be pretty awesome arriving as a big convoy at Ace Cafe. Think of the noise!

Sounds good to me. How many zeds are we talking about from your end? Will the BP garage fit us all in? We have 3 so far (could be more).
-
Why is everyone on this forum called Dave?
-
Sounds like a plan in a can. Where exactly would you like us to meet you both near Hemel? Bearing in mind we should be keeping near the M1.
-
I got two so far - they just need to add their names. Please feel free to add your name - its not very far from you.
-
Anyone else?

Bye bye It was too much like a documentary. No real zing to it - plus got fed up with Tiff being the only one driving the supercars and chatting about how great he is at driving. Don't rate him at all (as a presenter).

I've signed the petition, but it won't count towards anything. The gov acuse places like North Korea for dictatorship yet to me we are almost turning into one. It's all about money and not morals these days - the top fat cats that are in power won't ever give up to someone with morals because there's nothing in it for them, hence why its a constant roll of jerks running this country. Common sense? Forget it. Unless it can make more green paper appear then the government don't wanna know - a harsh but true fact. My overview (some may not like this)... Labour We have a man refusing to give up power (Gordon) yet he keeps messing everything up. Maybe not him personally, yet he is the one in control of every sector and the one that pretty much has the final word on it all. I get the feeling that its a numbers game with this lot and they don't realise its real people's live they are playing with. A lot of sneaky stuff going on in the background and a fake smile to the public - have no respect or time for them. Conservative Slimey, slimey toerags. It's inevitable they'll be in power next and straight away things will become more expensive due to Labours mistakes. Cameron's personality is getting a little better (only 'cos he knows he the next PM) but all his lapdogs underneath I haven't a clue about - keeping very quiet and suprisingly all come from very privileged backgrounds. A bunch of toffs wanting to look after the toffs. Lib Dems Who? I've personally been on contracts with the UK government and have met a few ministers in meetings, etc. Its spot on true when I say they have their heads up in the clouds - some of the ideas I've heard are crazy and everything evolves around cash (and they waste SOOO much of it - millions). If these peeps were in private sector, they'd be eaten alive due to being so poor at their jobs and decisions. Rant over...
-
If your a potential customer for the 370z then I don't think they would mind so much - depends on the chap you speak to on the phone.
-
Not trying to sound negative but would it be possible to not use your zed until you get some cash? I would do them both whilst your at it - at least you know its done and you no longer have to worry about it. The tyres as well (very important) and could mean life or death in worst case scenario, especially since winter is nearing (you don't want a stupid 2 second rear end slide into something - thats going to be bad and nothing good will come of ignoring tyres). We all go through bad patches mate. I remember not being able to drive my previous car at all for about a month because I didn't have a job at the time. I'm glad I didn't and ended up walking into town and yes - even catching buses. You suddenly realise how much cash you can save (albeit its pretty painful when you know you've done nothing wrong - but thats life). Things will turn around - its only a matter of time (or you get paid again).

+1. As with most things on t'internet pictures look great and when the real thing comes through the door your heart sinks. For such an expensive "toy", my hard earned zed cash is going via the traders on this site. OK, I may miss a few bargains out there but at the end of the day I don't mind paying a slight premium on good quality stuff that comes from trusty sources. Plus most traders on here have the parts they sell on their own cars - stuff sold on sites like this are probably knocked out by a line of asian women in a factory earning 10p an hour.

The Insignia is bland and so is this. Who ever is designing these cars needs to be fired - its just so boring to look at. Both of them. Out of all the shapes and curves you could have, why make something so god damn boring.
-
Depends what you do with the car I guess. Go out on a few track days in rain, etc will be less than normal driving about. It lasts a fair few weeks, although I tend to clean it every fortnight (bearing in mind I only drive it at weekends and has to be good weather). Pro jobs should last you longer since more layers of wax etc have been set into the paint - plus they know exactly what they're doing.

No difference as far as I am aware of.

A year in the life of my Zed :D **PIC HEAVY**

...just don't look at your bank balance. On a serious note, I think for 1 year thats an impressive mods list. Your zed looks brilliant.
