  1. If you don't mind attention then go for the yellow. You'll save loads of cash, it's a rarer colour and will probably sell quicker too (presuming you look after it well - I'm sure you will).
  2. Yellow GT4 will look good with black alloys with a yellow rim. Black alloys won't take much cleaning as well, so bear this in mind and will match your carbon parts. I know this is a 370z, but you get the idea: I've never seen a GT4 with this colour combo, but it looks awesome as you can see above. Most people leave them with silver alloys (I'd change them to black in a jiffy). It would certainly have that special unique factor.
  3. I'll try and refrain from saying blue. To be honest, these were the two choices I had about a year ago with mine. The depth of azure blue when fully waxed and polished is amazing and doesn't look too bad if dirty (although when clean it really does stand out). The thing I would consider is how much attention do you like? My azure brings a lot of attention to itself (although this will be due to my mods and so on as well). I can only imagine that a yellow zed would bring more. Simple things like parking it up will pretty much always get looks and maybe the odd comment (so far all good ones), although you only have to get one person to ruin it when you're away from it. Will you be parking it in a car parks? If so, the yellow one will draw attention to itself much more than the blue (I'd of thought). It's kind of hard not to see a bright yellow sports car. Filling it up at the petrol station makes kids point and wave and I even had a bloke come over and start chatting and taking photos of it. This was with a fully polished up Azure. The Yellow will bring more attention. Then again if its the right attention ("ohh..nice car mate") then all is good (go with the yellow). However yellow may be a big light bulb to unwanted attention (go with the blue). They are both awesome colours. The yellow is rarer but will attract looks and attention (perfect, if this is what you want - but simple things like parking may start making you paranoid in certain areas). At first lots of attention is fantastic, but it can get tiring when you just want to do simple things like pop into Sainsbury's quickly for a loaf of bread. Goodluck with your choice!
  4. Answered my own question - sorry: British number plates conform for the most part to the 1998 European standard design, with black lettering on a white or yellow background. The standard design also incorporates a blue strip on the left side of the plate with the European Union symbol and the country identification code of the member state – this aspect of the design is not compulsory in the UK, and many drivers choose not to display the European Union symbol. The country identifier design is not compliant with the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic (Annex 4) which requires the classic white oval design to be displayed. Within the EU this requirement is ignored in favour of EU law.
  5. Hey hey, bit of an odd question, but here goes... If driving abroad (via France and so on), obviously our reg plates aren't the same. I've noticed that some plates have a Euro country indetifier flag with "GB" under it and some don't (like mine). Does this make any difference when on the continent? I know we see cars from random places over here with no "flags" on the reg plate, but we might be more relaxed about it. Is it a legal requirement to have this on your car if another country?
  6. It's a bold step by Apple to do this. Now many things are going wireless and entering "cloud" type technology, I can see a point to it (everything is server based - you don't have every PC with its own settings and so on - it 'downloads' what you need from the host server). Think of the Internet, but apply it to everyday software you have to keep installing. Everything can be controlled from one place rather than running around fixing everyone's individual machines like most IT depts do today. However...at the moment I see a big iPod Touch. Laptops do more at present (better spec, much more memory, play DVDs, etc) all for the same price. Will Apple make money from it? Sure. Will it catch on a lead on to bigger and better things? Not so sure at the moment. This can go one of two ways: 1) The techies start having wet dreams, whereas everyone else thinks "what? I got a laptop that does the same" and it eventually dies with only the gadget freaks keeping them OR 2) It catches on. Business meetings can be done using these things, people make much bigger and complex apps for it (such as feeding live market data through it, watching TV, etc) then it will start to phase out the laptop Which one will it be in the long term? iPad or Laptops...we'll have to see. Am I going to buy one? No. I have a laptop.
  7. No need to respray - get it wrapped. Insurance won't hit you as much and you can put it back to original colour afterwards if its just white you're after. (why is everyone after white these days...)
  8. Voted for Lamborghini. They're so in your face and awesome. Either bright green or yellow Gallardo spider for me (lets face it - you only use it for sunny days).
  9. Just for a bit of fun... If you won the lottery (£2M) and within the next week you were to pop along to a supercar dealership, which one would it be? Which one is your favourite? OK; the next bit. Unless you're utterly mad you will still have a budget - so you can't fill your garage up with Veyrons and Enzo's. The budget is £150,000 (you don't have to spend all of it). No hyper cars will be in your budget (Zonda's and so on) because in this fantasy world you also need to buy an awesome house, etc. Place your numero uno vote and feel free to give specifics below (such as the exact model and so on) if you wish.
  10. Nice. Looks all warm and fuzzy...like in miami or something at night.
  11. Skype is wonderful. My girlfriend uses her iPod Touch to make calls via Skype - sorta becomes an iPhone I guess.

Nothing wrong with that. Zed is a zed. Not modding also saves you lots of £££ (trust me)! It's when people stick ironing boards on the back of them that people think Example: People with this mindset shouldn't be allowed near a car. They should be trained on push bikes first and then work their way up.

Now that would also look on a tastefully modded zed.

Haven't a clue i'm afraid. Bold bright colours are often used by Lambo's - try googling their colours if you want a more shocking appearance. Murcielago orange is the same as Focus ST orange apparently. This lambo white has another layer underneith (pinky gold layer - very thin I think), so when the sun hits it the extra sparkle come through; Thats why it looks better than your normal German car white and has that 'wow' factor. Maybe you should ask what style you'd like the zed to be in if your planning on modding it? Mods probably allow you to go a bit more extreme with colours, whereas a standard car would look a little silly. Depends what you want to do and what your long term plans are...

Some more... *Ignore the graphics and body kit. The colour looks pretty good - and not the same red as a typical Nissan colour. Could be yellow, orange, pink, blue, green, purple, black, white, etc, etc

Find a colour you like - forget about other people. Its not a T-Shirt and its your car. Have a look at some other cars out on the street. As said white has been done to death by German cars but there are so many whites to choose from I doubt you'll ever be classed as "out of date". If you pick one that you like and it suits the car then go for it. What about candy apple red? This with a set of black alloys will look hot.

Hmmm...just make sure he does a good job. It doesn't even have to be one colour - i've seen cars that slightly shade into a deeper colour if you get really fancy (although this is probably more suitable for show cars). Depends what you're after and what your budget is. The really fancy stuff will require someone with good skills.

If you're re-doing the whole car I strongly suggest you ask a pro for some samples: They'll show you the exact finish. As mentioned, go for something entirely different (that doesnt mean others will be put off by buying it in the future) - a different shade for example. If you choose sparkly gold for example, then obviously you're a nut and no one except a Premiership footballer will have the same taste as you. As you know colours can vary drastically - white on one car isn't the same as it is on another. Some have speckly bits on it, others are more matt look, others have a slight flip / tint to them. Loads of options for you to choose from. DON'T just hand it over and say "I want it white" - when you could have it a certain white that gives it that wow factor. Expect it to cost a fair bit though (£3k-£4k) for a full respray.
  20. I have to admit, Lambo's do seem to justify the price. Whereas our 'normal' cars are just on a belt with machines putting bits on them with the odd engineer screwing things up it kinda makes you realise where that special supercar feeling comes from - the individuals that make them. Actual blood, sweat and tears goes into making these things. They are truely epic cars and will always be on my "to buy" list (obviously in the future I hope). I'd love to know what they are going to replace the Murcielago with - the style of it, etc. I drove a Murci and my god it was loud and fast - but defo not practical. If I had the cash, it would be the Gallardo. Like you said - its not just the car itself, its the whole experience you get with it. Something very special...
  21. ...here is why: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-C9St0cYyK0 Unlike our zeds that are mostly factory machine built, Lambos are virtually all hand built. Some serious effort goes into each one (and there I was, thinking it was branding). Carbon Coops may want to take note for when he expands his Carbon output - that huge oven thing used to make Murcielago body parts may cost quite a bit...
  22. No sure if repost, but seems to be better than the UK review:
  23. Glad your OK. Had a slight scare a few weeks back coming on to a dual carriage way - patch of black ice and the rear end kicked out. Fortunately for me, traction control kicked in and got back in line again (the heart did start beating). I wasn't even doing anything out the norm - just building up speed coming on to the road. Maybe ice or patch of oil caused it? At the end of the day, cars are just metal and rubber (although precious rubber and metal at that).
