  1. Touchy subject... I've been in full-time work since I left school. Mummy always did her best to make me 'save half, spend half', which worked. "Follow the flock, step in @*!#." So, I won't go out every Fri/Sat (like most worker bees do), after a hard week's work to p*ss it up the wall. Now I have a little something to show for it. Although I may never be a millionaire, I'll be sure to carry on trying to make the most out of life. Even if that means having to bust a bollock and sacrifice a little social time out. Hey, bud. Mind if I ask, 'are you getting this on finance'? finance all depends on how much i spend, 10k ish i could do out straight, anything more, i would have to finance the remainder. i have been looking at alot of different cars / models and routes to go down. the range rover i was looking at was going to be financed over 3 years! or a golf i must say ive been looking around at other peoples zeds on here and there are some stunning examples!
  2. those Rota's are my fav! looks awesome dude!
  3. my quotes have been comming in around the 2K - 3K mark, depening on year of the car and such! although, with it being registered at my home adress, its 4k at the girlfriends, 2.2 mile up the road, it drops to the 2k mark! i spend 99% of my time there, so thats where it will be registered! as i work only 3 streets away from hers!
  4. I worked out the other day I'm paying nearly £400 p/m on average to keep my Zed on the road. I'm over 30 so insurance is about £600 a year and I have no finance on the car. Working at Kwik Fit must pay damn well! being the apprentice, i take home around 850 a month + bonus. once im qualified fitter goes to 1100 + bonus which can be anything from 50 to 500 + then when im service tech, 1500 + bonuses which is alot more than a fitter! that is take home! so after tax and such. which for the easy job it is, and the benifits of working there too, unlimited ramp acess, tools at hand, trade prices for alot fo parts and on tyres, cheap MOTs and servicing. i.e serviced a mates saxo VTS this week on my day off, air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, sparks, and oil for engine and gear box, cost me 25 quid, ish...
  5. id expect to see @*!# like that on a renault 5 forum! as said, there is a time and a place dont ruin it for others!
  6. i was expecting abit more to fill the tank tbh, i heard they are around the 85-90 litre size! id be happy with that kind of result though! i get about 300 miles to 40 in my current run around! i think the extra style and power would be more than acceptable for the price i was looking at a 56 plate! whilst in work today, but saying that i have also seen a few nice 54! again in the GT pack! with 46,000 - 50k on the clock! i know 2k is alot to pay for insurance! but 20, 0ncb and had my license 17 months, thats about it really! i think its a fair price! ive had my bike license since i was 17! so never had time to build up on the car license! but looking for a rough idea on re-new and it drops a fair bit! i couldnt bare paying out over 200 a month! lol so it would be paid out right too! but ive already saved that up
  7. lol the insurance is 2K - depending on the age from 54 to 57 thats ive checked varies upto 2800. baring in mind i was paying that for my Yamaha R6 when i was 18. ill be straight, im only an apprentice at Kwik fit! but the pay isnt that bad! plus the advantages as Pirelli rossos will be costing me less than 100 bucks each for 18's insurance and fuel costs on my current saxo and bike isnt bad atall, so ive had my time to save up! and this is what its added up to getting a Zed. hard work, saving, and really wanting to **** off my mates!
  8. not in the list, but a few have said it. blackberry 9700 - ive had mine for about a month now! and so far i dont regret it! it was a toss up between the nokia, i phone or the berry! tbh, the iphone is more a toy than a phone imo! but it depends what you are really looking for. hard core phone - like a phone should be! with a handfull of good things. then deffo the 9700 berry! i pay 35 a month on vodaphone, free phone, 900 mins, unlim txtx and internet with that.
  9. thanks for the warm welcome people in Plymouth I've noticed its a rare occurrence to see a Zed and never seen a white one here atall! its just stretching to find a white one. and re-sprays, my mate owns his one company, who deal with a lot of custom work and such, and as long as i pay for the paint and beer...he will do the painting for free, cant really go wrong in my opinion. that lexx's one? is gorgeous! other then the 200sx which hardly ran, and was a bag of crap when it did, this will be my first true working RWD car that i will care for! lol as for insurance, i'll be paying 2K fully comp for it. as long as it all goes smoothly, it drops alot when it comes to re-new so to me its worth paying! its just looking at the MPG compared to recent cars! hmmm.... ive seen the figures of 17 around town. aslong as it sticks above 10 i should be a-ok! if not, out with the bike. (i got an XJR1300, it was get another R6 or the Zed)! ive spent the last 2-3 days looking for bits and bobs. and it would pretty much be ; new head unit, a double din / touch screen will be good. (i get discount on a few audio sites, so it'll be a good one) replace the woofers / amp. nothing epic just that bit better for SQ (im a big audio whore! currently with a 148dB saxo!) get a good stance, with a nice set of wheels. slight camber would be nice too! ive already set back myself around the 2k mark for that! which looking around is realistic! when i thought about suspension and brakes, ive realised ill need a fair bit more! so only time will tell!
  10. im 19 *turning 20 in two weeks* this will be my first Zed and a damn nice birthday pressy to myself!. and looking forward to having it for a while!
  11. hey guys and girls! name is Matt aka tonto! never really been a guy for cars with speed, usd previous cars for streetbassing and entertainment! and the bike for the thrill factor! been looking at 350s since i was 14! *yes im only 20* and now i can afford to buy one and insure it! im hoping they wont dissapoint! found a gunmetal GT pack model! that i like the look of! *although will be having it resprayed in a white* just really so far wanting to know how easy it is to go around changing the 6 disc cd player, to a custom head unit. uprating the subs behind the seats, before i go down performance mod routes! i know how forums work, and how to use the search button! so ill see what i can do for myself before i bug people thank:teeth:
