  1. So they want to charge you £150 for getting your car back, that they towed away?!? Absolutely ridiculous. You may as well have parked it on double yellows, get it towed, and get it back without a smashed window for less. As they havent informed you, I guess they will be reimbursing you for the cost of changing the locks on your front door and gate that you have already changed?
  2. Just to note that the details on discount have now been released - first 15 get 100% free admission and half price admission for their +1. So don't delay.
  3. Actually the bet should be cancelled and the stake returned, he is effectively a non runner now.
  4. Im sure it is all just in jest, but if they did want to time themselves, Im sure it can be organised for both cars to go out individually and get a time without anyone else on track and therefor remove that risk. Though Im fairly sure that there wont be any possibility for insurance for such an event. Anything is possible, its just a matter of organising it properly. There is always the option of both going to a RWYB day and doing standard quarter mile runs, which are timed.
  5. So they have actually already switched you, or that is the renewal offer? If its a letter advising you that they have already placed the business, you should have a minimum 7 days to cancel and get yourself a better deal. Ive never known an industry as fickle as insurance. Not only is it a postcode lottery, but also you will find that yes companies can an do decide who or what they wil/wont insure based on the most ludicrous of criteria. Your claim against another company could should in theory have nothing to do with your own companies renewal policy, but it probably will. The above quote though is taking the urine somewhat and I would shop around now.
  6. Draw a smiley face in it and tell everyone its a designer top.
  7. Why couldnt you have started this poll 8 days ago when I could have ticked a lower box
  8. You know I get the feeling Im going to regret posting that, Ill bring beer and cakes to Zedfest to make it up to people
  9. I too use my Iphone to post quite a few times - so I appreciate how long that must have taken! We dont actively promote the donation button, as it is not something we expect. If people feel they want to make a donation, they usually ask, or find the button. We dont like promoting it though, as then it perhaps feels "forced". We preffer to source the income from the merchandise and traders fees, all of which go hand in glove with the "popularity" of the site both online and at meets etc. Whilst we do cater for the whole community, and try to do so by keeping the site free and all areas open, we also have to try and maintain the emphasis on promoting our club when it comes to shows etc. Apologies if this was turning into an "Us V them" thread, and my flag in the ground comment most certainly didnt help, but Im not going to delete things that I said in the heat of the moment, otherwise I open a whole other can of worms. You know some days I get the feeling that I only open my mouth to change which foot I have in it
  10. I wasn't directing my reply above to you specifically. It had been mentioned that perhaps it was unclear and it may have been implied that people have to be active on this website in order to be welcome at our meets, which is not the case. Perhaps I was unclear in my postings. I was purely looking at things from a support of our club angle, i.e. it is nice if the active members here support our club, rather than you can only support our club if you are an active member. Apologies if this was misconstrued.
  11. Also worth mentioning, as it may not have been clear, our meets are open to all Z owners, regardless of which club they are most active on, or indeed if they are active on any. It is not a prerequisite that you must be an active member on this website in order to park your car on our stand Just drop your name on the list and come along
  12. I knew you couldnt resist the urge Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh in time buddy.
  13. Check out our calendar, you could make quite a few long weekends of the various meets and shows
  14. Heading toward this rapidly now, can we start to gather names please 1. M350ZB 2. Chesterfield
  15. This thread was started early so as not to miss it, but has sinced dropped of the radar. We are now only a few weeks away from this, so need to gather numbers and get the stand/tickets arranged guys 1. Nixy 2. shire350z 3. Chesterfield
  16. A quick bump for this one guys - seems others enjoyed it last time - not long now until Augusts meet
  17. Hi, Unfortunately this is the same date as my brothers Wedding, so I cant make it. It will be good to see a number of us joining the GTROC chaps and chapesses.
  18. I see the green momentum has now started infiltrating the historically more stubborn regions of Europe. I would have hoped the French of all people would have stood up to this nonsense. It is normally us Brits that roll over and take it up the exhaust pipe. How does speed affect pollution exactly? Surely thats clutching at straws, even for tree huggers?
  19. It could be any part of the link or route to the server, a switch or router somewhere. Very often routes are cached at ISP's and should that route/link to the server be broken for whatever reason, it may take a brief moment for an alternative route to be found. I have not seen any issues myself, but will keep an eye out.
  20. With the direction those exhaust outlets face, I bet your neighbours love you when you start that up in a morning! Ill bet with an F150 though you chuckle when you get range rovers and other 4x4s to give way Excelletnt!
  21. I have no idea whether it will run, or if so how long for, but sweet baby jesus it will be loud if you go for what most people reffer to as open headers. Basically its a dumping of the exhaust before it goes through any of that cat, silencer or pipe nonsense under the car. Totally illegal and incredibly stupidly offensively.. loud.
  22. Anyone decided to be a great big kid and order the prestige edition with the night vision goggles
  23. Thanks again. Had a nice meal last night with a couple of shandys. I didnt get any bits for the Z as Im about all done apart from deciding what to do with the plenum. Unfortunately the results of a heavy paper round as a child I think. Though with my stature, it would do me good to get another one now!
  24. Thanks guys and girls. Its 29 actually. I just forgot to tell the forum to stop counting at the same time I did Im off out for a meal with family tonight, nothing special. Though Ill certainly be up for creating another beer can pyramid with people at the hoon
