Same as Digsy for me. I got an Iphone 3GS about 3 weeks ago. Ive never been that bigger fan of touchscreen phones, and thought that the Iphone was a little too "gimmicky" for me. The thing is just brilliant. It works smoothly, and even with my sausage fingers I can text on it faster than any of my previous phones touchscreen or not. The applications are useful, finance updates, email and web browsing is good on it too - the safari browser is just great. I can navigate websites on it with ease, and no pesky stylus needed either. (something I dont particularly like with the Samsung Omnia for eaxmple).

Copying and pasting the previous entries and adding to them would probably have been better... ECU = Electronic Control Unit FI = Forced Induction (turbo/supercharger) GM - Gun metal MY06, MY05 etc = Model Year NA = Normally Aspirated (i.e. no turbo/supercharger) OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer (genuine Nissan) PM - Private message UY - Ultra Yellow

Brilliant Idea. Perhaps we can use this thread to add to the list befor publishing it in the FAQ area? FI = Forced Induction (turbo/supercharger) MY06, MY05 etc = Model Year NA = Normally Aspirated (i.e. no turbo/supercharger)

Are you a member of www.uk-mkivs.net ? I used to be a member there some years ago when I had my MK IV GT TDI. The golfs are a great car, always wanted an R32 in the MK IV, but never had the funds then. Had a look at one of the new ones recently, and they are as still as well screwe together as they used to be. Cracking motors.

350Z-UK forum window stickers. I'd like one please
Chesterfield replied to givememorepower's topic in 350Z General
Ahh that explains it - its not that everyone is friendly and wanting to welcome newbies - they just want the bloody stickers! -
Nice straight roads with wide run offs? Just kidding buddy - good to see you getting back up and running again

I wouldn't have thought so, unless he has broken the rules specific to any particular forum/club/community. Our removal of this individual is not to be seen as a guide as to what others do - who are we to suggest that? We are merely advising of what has happened on our forum and suggesting others consider if this is the type of person they want within their community. They may want them, they may not. Even if they dont, unless there are specific grounds for removal, we wouldn't expect people to go round banning members just because we have Each community is responsible for its own management. Its probably safe to say there wont be an abundance of Z communities in the UK willing to tolerate this individual now, and possibly even less prepared to park their car on the same stand...

Correct Danny Yep he does have a heck of a build going on. Just a shame he will never be welcome in any 350Z community to display it. Had he been open and honest about his return, things may have been different, after almost two years bygones could have been bygones pottentially (although it would have taken a lot of work). Coming back and giving false names to effectively hide who you are is not the way to make a return. Other UK communities have been in touch to offer their support and have advised they too will be on the lookout - it seems this behaviour is not appreciated within th Z community full stop. Boundaries between clubs fade away for the overall greater good.

Nice isnt it. We are hoping to add the functionality to choose a global header based on your car model when joining the club. That way you can have it set to reflect your ownership. As for it reflecting the exact colour of each individuals car, that may take a bit of doing

It was quite shocking when we discovered it. I myself was of the opinion that it couldnt be the same person according to the IP logs that are available for all the posts, and stated as much previously. Unfortunately the more thorough search revealed that the action had been going on for some time, and it was the same person. Whether the false registration was done out of vindictiveness, spite or just boredom we do not know, but whatever the motives for the action, they could not be allowed to continue on the board. So the unanimous decision for removal was taken. Apologies if this has left any members threads a little disjointed, but we hope it is understood why we felt it necessary to carry out the removal.

They do that all the time with the decals on the car, always make me laugh but thats probably because I've got the sense of homour of a child! Loved the part where James May went screaming past the other two and hit his piano screaming "****". I had tears in my eyes! That got me too. All you heard was "****" and then the car appeared and went straight into the piano

I doubt it - "would you like a ride in my Jaaag....duck?" Hey, I wouldnt poke fun at a southerner walking a whipet or wearing a flat cap, or even tucking into a slice of black pudding. Leave us Northerners alone

Yes I tend to forget my wallet from time to time. Got to wonder what the reaction of the morris owners club will be to the show I think with all seriousness there will be some advancements in exhaust gas cleaning in time to come - but then there is the conspiracy theory that this could already be done, but the government keep it covered up, because should it become a reality, the tax drop would be catastrophic to the economy....

I would have the M5 ocer the jaaaag any day I'd have the Merc C63 over both of them or an Audi RS6 As an everyday driver the interior on the RS6, C clas and 5 Series loses out to the Jag IMHO. The others may have an edge on a track, but how many people are going to buy a luxury saloon primarily for its track times? (of course I'm biassed though ) Rob, That looks like a whole barrel of laughs! Very envious!

Quite liked the review of the "New Jaaaag"

Hi and Hope you enjoy our club
-
given his parting comments to the team and what he thought our community was turning into, I very much doubt he would come back. Let alone contribute here. The ip addresses posted from don't appear to suggest any undercover return has been made.
-
Agreed, for those times when people need a break from here, the zclub (zclub.net) is a great community. We will be joining them at zedfest again this year showing all the z's under one roof again
-
Neo is just moving the domain name itself to a more accesible host. No server moves etc. We are fortunate in that the 350z domain names are owned by people with decent moral fibre, and they are reccognised as belonging to this community.
-
Agreed - the figure he has placed on them is a complete joke in my opinion. There is of course a mountain of evidence on this site to show the purchase was made as a result of discussions on future proofing the community here. He even advised people were free to make donations to cover the cost of said purchase, so it is clear that the purchase was made for this community. The request now for £1,000 or more is obvious profiteering from a domain name originally purchased for this community. Again, any internet community directed to this thread is free to draw their conclusions on the character of this individual. The suggestion that he may wish to use the domains himself in the future is quite interesting. I would be highly intreagued as to how they would be put to any good use. Having effectively ostricisd himself from the entire UK Z community by taking this stance, it would be an incredibly interesting 370z club with the one member.
-
You can read this site as a guest, so no registration required. You also dont know the individual in question. Some of us know him and his personality quite well. Once he has made his position on a subject like this known, and stated he wants £1000 or more for the domains(s) - there is more chance of me taking a dump in the queens handbag than him doing anything which has anything resembling moral decency in this matter. PS - this area is now only open to registered members for the time being.
-
He is no longer in our community. In my opinion every other Z community and indeed every other internet community full stop should be made aware of this persons attitude toward a former club. He deserves no part in any community what so ever with an attitude like that in my opinion.
-
As the individual has made his position clear there is really no more point in debating the purchase with them. They have proven to the Z community what kind of character they are.

We have received a response from the domain owner: As a club we have no interest in 370ukownersclub domains, as this is not in line with our current known logo and "brand name". We would not wish to own the 370z-uk.co.uk domain as we have no need for this, we currently use .com for our landing point. As for the figure of £1000, we consider this to be quite frankly ridiculous. The annual cost for a .com domain is £8.99, the cost for a .co.uk domain is £2.99 both excluding VAT. The domains have been registered since June 2007. The total cost for all four domains inclusive of VAT per year is £28.15 for year 07 and 08. With the lowering of the VAT level to 15%, the renewal for 2009 would be £27.55. This results in a total cost of ownership for all four domains of £83.85 The specific cost for the single domain 370z-uk.com is £31.47 for the three year period. Given a total cost of £83.85 for the three year period, an asking price of £1000 is considered quite frankly ridiculous. Open for the community to comment.

UPDATE: The owner of the domain has made it clear he does not wish to discuss this on any forum with myself, and there has been no response to the offers posted on this and the zclub forum. I have today sent the following email to the domain owner and will advise if there is any response:
