Well, I certainly did not expect this for 2015, guess that they are looking for a wider audience if you ask me. :blush:

So glad that I have the track pack. :#1:

 

Nismo not for me as not a functional road car and purely a track car as a few will eventually find out.

 

Also at 125K (133K with titanium zorst) the Nismo is massively overpriced.

I really want a GTR one day but it won't be the 2015 model (even if I could afford it), ...2010 model is probably what I'll be aiming for. B)

 

Go for it. Then we can start a GTR section :)

I quite fancy one for my next car too but was under the impression that 2011 onwards had the advantage of an improved transmission and yearly instead of six monthly services. Not sure though....

The improvements on the 2011 car are pretty good, I have the suspension from 2012 car and the 2011 had a much better trans cooler, among other things. The servicing difference means nothing..... it was Nissan having released a new car and wanting to collect data on how things were going on the car. Some owners have moved to a 12 month service schedule and some of the 2011+ owners have moved down to a 6 month schedule. Personally, I prefer servicing the car every 6 months, purely because it has a hard life and nice to keep an eye on things, especially considering the price of parts :)

Already doing some reading up & research on the GTR for future reference. Keep reading a lot about circlips, gearbox software upgrades & bell housing being done.

The problem with this is that nissan built the R35 to be a budget hyper car. Now its in the same price band as some of the exotics, which unfortunately for Nissan, merit the price tag and would be first choice for many over the R35

Bellhousing is a problem, I have had mine replaced, I opted (and paid for) the Litchfield fix rather than the Nissan warranty which was not a proper fix.

Circlips I dont see as a problem.... I have not had mine done

Gearbox software is fantastic stuff, makes the car a lot more driveable, well worth the upgrade

 

At £55k it was a bargain, at £85k it's really not.

 

Completely agree... just received a letter from Nissan advising the finance package on a new car £78k, too much IMHO.

Its such a terrible shame the GTR has become what it now is, they have softened it into a total waste of time !

 

 

Oh wait a minute no they haven't, they have just improved the ride consistently over the years and separated it more away from the NISMO version and track variants. Its not a track car , its not a supercar its a GT car and always was.

 

The best still keeps getting better ! But those wheels :yuck:

MY09: 3.3 (although some say it was 3.8 for the JDM model)

MY11: 3.0
