KUGT4 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 rang nissan dealer to be told that a 'P3' service is no more - only minor/major service available now... Quote
Ekona Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 About time too, P3 and P2 were practically the same anyway! Quote
Level 7 Boss Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Really, was just about to book in a P3 service. Should I simply get a P2? Quote
Lincolnbaggie Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Yep, there is absolutely no difference between a P2 and a P3 for the 350 and never has been - we've all had our pants pulled down by Nissan on that one over the years. I've been going on about it for years as well Quote

KyleR Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 There is a difference between P2 and P3 although it's not worth talking about, it's simply a couple of checks. Quote

Yep even services on my Jaaaag have come in cheaper than some of the Zed quotes I have seen :o Only just though Quote
martybhoy Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Least this now saves alot of confusion. Quote
AK350Z Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Only had one "P3", but the dealer knew I was an enthusiast (and knew the craic), so we agreed it would be done for the P2 price. Quote
chrisday1990 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 P3had coolant flush or so I was told by JAPEX Quote
PPod Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 So when should a service be for a 350z? I have heard about 3,000 miles or is that not right? Quote

biggles Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Westway Nissan Oxford dealer said I needed a P3 when I asked for a service quote yesterday.... denied all knowledge of any change to two (minor/major) service levels. Quote
zebedy Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 sorry to hi- jack the thread, but can someone tell me when cambelts and tensioners etc should be changed, asuming they are not chain drive as I dont know. sorry to be a noob !! Quote
biggles Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Service schedule here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31107-service-schedule-for-a-350z/ does not mention it. I think it is an inspection item and changed as an when required and not a 'scheduled' item. Quote

Lincolnbaggie Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 There is a difference between P2 and P3 although it's not worth talking about, it's simply a couple of checks. There are no additional checks on a P3 compared to a P2. Check the service schedule. P3had coolant flush or so I was told by JAPEX Coolant change is not part of either a P1, P2 or P3 - it is done every 3 years as an additional service item. I repeat, there was never any difference between a P2 and a P3 except Nissan stealers ripping us off................. 1 Quote
