  1. Do the dash lights dim when trying to start? If so, could be loose battery connections not allowing starter motor to draw enough current and crank the engine.
  2. Canon video with tips for shooting photos of moving vehicles - couple of shots of a yellow 370 around 2:25 and 4:30 mark.
  3. I had the same, traced it to the negative clamp not secure on the battery terminal. Connection was good enough for to power the electrics but not start the car.
  4. I was quoted about the same for one of the arms where the bush was starting to split. My quote was for a new arm and not to replace the bush so I would hope yours is too! I think the bushes can be replaced (Clark Motorsport sells them) so just need to find a garage able to remove and fit.
  5. I factor in that they give a car to run about in, last month that was for 6 hours. No faffing hiring a car for the day/getting a second driver to pick up/drop off or lift to/from station and associated hanging around. Never having used an indy, what's the deal when having work done?
  6. £200 for plugs, did they change the coolant and brake fluid..... :scare: Yes, Coolant and Brake fluid changed as part of the 'gold' service. I priced up plugs at £100+ for six and adding an hours labour on that it didn't seem too extortionate.
  7. I recently paid £225 at main dealer for a major service inc. coolant + £200 for plugs. Got a Leaf as a courtesy car for the day too, fun for a while but much better driving home in the Z. Interestingly the paperwork showed three levels of service bronze, silver, gold so I expect the dealers still looking to rip us off if we are not careful. I'll scan the sheet if anyone interested.

    Service quote

I have had main dealer quotes of just below 500 for a major service, (HR) plugs, RAC cover and courtesy car. I need the courtesy car to get around while car is serviced as it is less hassle than lift to/from station/public transport/less waiting around. RAC cover may not be as good as that bought independently but it covered me for a homestart due to a flat battery. How much cheaper are people getting this service for at independent garages?
  9. Service schedule here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31107-service-schedule-for-a-350z/ does not mention it. I think it is an inspection item and changed as an when required and not a 'scheduled' item.
  10. Westway Nissan Oxford dealer said I needed a P3 when I asked for a service quote yesterday.... denied all knowledge of any change to two (minor/major) service levels.
  11. Thanks jbrunouk. I remember the Renault dealership that used to be there now you mention it. The Boston Manor and Mill Hill Nissan dealers have switched from West London Motor Group to Westway.
  12. Hi, anyone got any experience of the relatively new Nissan London West dealership near Park Royal? They seem to be an NHPC too. I am looking to get my 6 year service and MOT done soon. Reviewing the service history against schedule I have figured out the coolant should have been changed at year 3, P3 should have been performed in year 4 (P1 performed) and plugs in year 5 so I fear this is going to be an expensive year . Brake fluid has been changed every 2 years though so I seem to be in the clear regarding that. I'm not too fussed about the late plug change as it's a low mileage car and running no hotter than usual so I assume a very late coolant change is not a big deal either.
  13. After 3 weeks of driving autos automatics in the US/Canada, went to start the Z and .... nothing. Battery went for me last year after 5 years and thought it was happening again. Then I remembered to depress the clutch and not the brake as I had been doing to start the auto's
  14. Hi, Looking for two sets of tonneau cover fixings that attach to the underside of the strut - bolt, washer, spacer and rawlnut. Also, one replacement know which has shattered. Cheers, Si
  15. no blue dots is the refurb give away. need to read it from the beginning of the thread Bit weird that they supply them like that - I'd expect the wheels to be perfect and not with some (small) splodge from new. Already had a couple of mates point them out.
