djtimo
Great fun at the drift day at Oulton! I prefer the track dry as the car has more grip feels more controlled (easier with more power too) but they do keep it wet to reduce tire noise and speed. Will booking the next one soon too Little dirty from the day hahaha

djtimo
Thanks man, such good fun and for anyone thinking of doing it, go for it! Only use just over half a tank of fuel and next to nothing on tires! Very safe for the car aslong as you take it easy on one corner where you can hit armco if you go in to fast or spin.

djtimo
Rather strange new mod for the zed today Intercom system for driver and passenger! The car is very noisy now and on longer runs over 10-15 mins I tend to wear ear defenders. This means music is muffled and talking to the passenger is hard with or with out ear defenders so I though this would be a cool mod for comfort and a little weight saving as I can now remover the bose head unit, door speakers, rear amp and wiring! The terratrip system uses a small 12v amp that has twin volume control for driver and passenger, AUX input for MP3 player, Line out to record you voice (for pace notes etc not that ill uses this! lol), Noise cancelling mic's to help cut out engine noise coming though the mic's and the ability to connect to a 2 way radio which could be cool for convoys etc! Ill install them soon and see what there like!
350zedd
Great idea to aid comms between driver and passenger and stop you going deaf. You certainly need one as that zed is mental, as witnessed on the way to evo triangle last year! edit: this year....seems so long ago Edited November 3, 2015 by 350zedd
Keyser
Cool I'm putting a set in the Radical so we can talk on track, let me know how well they work
djtimo
Fitted the intercom system today. Not full complete as its on a temporary mount until my Alu roll cage mount comes from safety devices. Music via iPod works but sound quality is rather shite LOL.. Still intercom works well and is clear but I'm getting some base level noise when no one speaks so Ill look into fixing this with a filter or voltage stabiliser. Its powered from a switched live 12v that used to power the old 12v socket behind the driver which is handy
