  1. Cheers Beefy, We Buy Any Car came back with £7400, but we all know they will chip that down, so am open to sensible offers, probably not the time to sell but it seems to be cheaper than some older ones with higher mileage, it is ready to go, needs nothing for a fair few thousand miles, might even take a cheap PX. The CLS is completely different, my son summed it up as the Z is and X wing but this is Millenium Falcon, did the Waitrose run in 12 parsecs but it only does 15 mpg, bloody hillarious economy, even by Z standards.
  2. Diggsy, yes, that is correct, full Nissan history until I bought it, then I have maintained it. I have maintained every car I have had for the past 27 years, swapped and rebuilt engines, welded, painted. upgraded etc etc, have grown up with cars, studied MVT at college, worked in a garage for a while so don't let that worry you too much, I have kept records and receipts of the bits I have done, depends whether you want a full and complete Nissan history. Had I been keeping it I would have done the brake fluid and belts in 2016 Nissan History Car registered on 22/03/2007 P4 at 4224 Miles on 20/03/08 P2 at 13817 Miles on 12/03/10 P3 at 19458 Miles on 11/03/11 P1 at 25899 Miles on 22/03/12 P2 at 32483 Miles on 21/03/2013 Then Over to me Oil and Filter at 35811 Miles on 31/05/14 Oil and Filter at 38388 miles on 14/06/2015 Now on 39943 miles Disks, Pads and gearbox oil done at 38004 miles on 03/06/2014. Comes with previous MOTs, and you can get all the history off the DVLA now, have a look, nothing to hide here. Exhaust was done when I got it as was broken and blowing, I fitted that, replaced the Y pipe earlier this year as was blowing, got a garage to do that as weather was bad. I fitted the stereo earlier this year, all neat and all works perfectly, cost me about £200 to do.
  3. How do I change the title to reflect the price change ?
  4. Now on Pistonheads as well http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350-z-v6--------------------2007/5018471
  5. As per title, throttle controller for sale, just removed from my zed as its up for sale, makes a nice difference to the throttle response, working perfectly, 15 min job to fit. £70 including postage, these are normally £99, so save yourself £25 if you were thinking of buying one !
  6. Its the four door CLS, sort of a swoopy E class, a 2008 model, so the facelifted version with the 5.5 V8 with 388 bhp, lovely tidy condition, went expecting to find something a bit down at heel that I wasnt all that bothered about but it is lovely, utterly immaculate and drives very nicely, quite a contrast to the Zed but I think life is too short to not try different motors. I got it at a good price so it allows me to sell my Zed a bit cheaper, no sense in it hanging round so am open to sensible (already well priced at £7995 and another £200 off already) offers and possibly a Cheap PX, car is ready to go.
  7. Will do, think I will miss the gruff and honest nature of the zed but the Merc does have a lot of plus points.
  8. Now £7795 Must be one of the best priced out there but new car on way so needs to go.
  9. WIll put a few more photos up when on my computer, was also thinking I may take a cheap PX, am not a trader but I do like faffing about with cars. Its had a wash and vac today and is looking good !
  10. Tanks, thats the idea, keen price for a good car, I just got a good deal on my new one so it means I can price mine competetively, no sense being greedy.
  11. Am based Near Manchester Airport. The Feu Orange cost me £20 off Ebay as New old Stock, only opened the first months potent 70s aroma, my dad had one in his mk1 Capri when I was a kid, £20 was a small price to pay. Stereo, oops, am not all that well up on these things, was just on a mission to replace the stuttering original unit. It is pretty clean but does have a few little dents that a good dentman could get out, hence the lower than average price, only selling as I am a serial car changer, 2 and a half years is a testament to how much I have enjoyed it, very satisfying car to drive, just ready for a change, Mercedes CLS 500 due next week but I may go back to Zed ownership when I can afford a 370. Will give it a few days for the faithful on here to decided what to do and then it gets thrown to the vultures of Ebay and Auto Trader.
  12. Have just put a deposit on a Mercedes CLS so my Zed is for sale. As per the title, 2007 296 with 39,900 miles, I am the second owner. Will check on the MOT but its got a good few months on it. Car is mechanically perfect as per the low mileage, lots of history, previous owner had it serviced on the dot at Nissan so it has full Nissan history until I purchased it, I have changed the oil and filter with quality synthetic twice in 2 years and the 8000 or so miles I have covered in it, new brakes all round and a gearbox oil change. The engine and gearbox are spot on, it pulls nicely and runs perfectly, it doesnt use any oil and starts on the button, the battery was replaced earlier this year. Comes with 3 keys and all the owners pack stuff. Spare never used. The only changes to the standard specification are a Cobra Sport exhaust, this is the resonated model, the Y pipe has also been replaced with a Stainless Steel Item, it sounds fantastic, I have also changed the ropey oem stereo (CD had failed) for a Kenwood item that has Bluetooth, Aux, Ipod, USB etc, this was hooked up to the existing Bose amp and sounds pretty good, the steering wheel controls still work. The bodywork is generally good but it has a few dings on the passenger door and a few other little knocks from the previous owner, no rust as you would expect, alloys are the standard rays ones, they look good but for perfection I would say they are due a refurb. I have priced the car to allow for these little cosmetic bits, the exhaust and stereo are the best part of a thousand pounds, two standard weak spots already dealt with. Hood works fine, been up and down all summer And a little video,
  13. Well, bought a CLS, will be advertising my zed soon.
  14. Kind of erring on a Merc CLS at the moment, the 2006 on 5.5 V8 as it has more power and avoids some of the issues, the one I was coveting seems to have gone, was a good price, nice spec and colour but there is always another. Not sure what my Zed is worth, 2007 GT 296 convertible with just short of 40k on, well serviced, previous owner had it in at Nissan, I do my own, only done 8k miles with me and its had the oil done twice, gearbox oil, brakes all round and a new battery. It has a full Cobra cat back, throttle controller but is otherwise mechanically standard, I also replaced the OEM stereo with a Kenwood Double din unit with USB, Bluetooth etc. It runs perfectly, no creaks or rattles, engine is spot on, just fancy a change. It isnt perfect, few parking dinks on the passenger door and the wheels , though they look of could do with a refurb if being fussy.Interior is pretty much perfect. Everything works. What should I expect to get for that, allowing for a bit of cosmetic work to make perfect ?
  15. Was thinking more in a straigtht line, its a fat bloke heavier, a bloke fatter than my 106 kilos.
  16. Wonder how a 350Z would fare against a 388 bhp CLS ? Mine is a convertible though, so a bit heavier, on that note, not driven a coupe recently, back to back is there much difference ?
  17. Prices seem to have firmed up due to the fuel prices being lower and people realising that another £200 VED isnt really a big deal in the scheme of things, all those paying £300 plus for some diesel thing when, if you have something like the 370Z and buy it you keep most of the value and the incidental costs such as insurance arent as bad as you would think, especially when you arent paying money to rent the car each month.
  18. No mate, they are generally businesspeople who are subject to very tight legislation that protects their customers. The people that buy broken cars from them and then fail to follow the proper channels have only got themselves to blame. Maybe so, would be better if they just took responsibility for what they sell rather than having to involve trading standards or whatever.
  19. Dealers promise the earth and rarely deliver, I have had cars that will come with a full service, and nothing had been done, I moaned like mad and the dealer supplied a filter and 5 litres of cheap synth oil, its all bollocks, as are any warranties they give, I had a Fiat Coupe with similar issues to yours, burning oil, they said the warranty was parts only and would pay for the piston rings, then laughed, they very nearly had a night time visit to their forecourt with a litre of brake fluid and a water pistol, I wouldn't advocate that approach but that is how I felt. they are generally shysters and have zero responsibility towards the consumer.
  20. Makes sense, have to say my zed doesnt feel that fast after a 100, but then that isnt something I do that often as its not a great idea for ones license !
  21. Surely, even with a bit more weight a 400 bhp jag would outdrag a standard 350Z ? The Jag does sixty in 5 and 100 in under 12, not massively different but surely noticeably so.
  22. Oh my, that is nice. I assume it was supercharged based on the vents, and being a 2004 it would be 400 bhp, and it didnt feel that quick, compared to a 350 Z ? I am not bothered about age, just fancy a wafty barge for a bit, its on the list, will advertise mine when I have enough posts. Have seen a CLS 500 with the higher power 388 bhp engine for decent money, always had a thing for them, if I dont like it, will get something else when I have a bit more budget, maybe a 370Z
