Stutopia Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 That photoshop job is only hairs breadth away from being as good as SMD's work Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Just thought I might as well dump the rest of the pictures from the shoot on here : 3 Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 This is my favourite 70 on here. Properly stylish modding . Excellent 1 Quote
gstraw Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Hey mate. Do you get any rubbing on the front? Maybe when cornering or has it been okay? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 So far it hasn't been bad at all. I think its down to my ride height. If the front was even a baw hair lower I reckon it would be scuffing like a champ. It does scuff though, mostly over hard bumps at speed, haven't had it out for a spirited drive yet to see what happens but I'll keep you posted. You still in 2 minds? Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 Thanks guys I'm really happy with it. I want to add a splitter to the front but I don't want to make the front any more cluttered. Also, its been a long time since I bought anything from this brand... 1 Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 That looks mega now! Cheers, well I had to do something else so it wasn't identical to yours Quote
PS13Silvia Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Good point I am eyeing up those rear spats you've got though, they really work imo. Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 Yeah they give the rear end a much needed lower profile look. And the ones from Tarmac are a great fit. Just a tip though, measure the height on both sides so they are the same, as mine are ever so slightly off and I haven't got round to refitting yet. Quote
gstraw Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I'm considering whether I should hold out for the 19s mate. Or get tyres which are not as high on the sidewalks but I fear ride quality will be compromised. How's it been for you with the 20s over the 19s? Notice a difference? oldbonesmcgee Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Honestly I have to say the ride is quite considerably harsher with the small sidewalls. Also with there being a little bit of stretch on the front wheel the sidewall is even harder and you have to watch out for potholes. If you don't want that hassle then I would go with 9.5" on the front or something. The rim actually pokes out past the tyre so even a pothole could damage the wheel, and with wheels that expensive it makes you nervous haha. In other news I got my front plate fitted finally: Quote
ZeppoJeff Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Where on earth are you taking all these nice pictures? Quote
oldbonesmcgee Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 The car park pics are taken in the Fredrick street car park, there's always a whole floor empty as long as you go late enough. The harbour pictures are taken at Cove Bay. If you're free a weekend and you have a shiny car we can do a tour of the photo locations haha Quote
ZeppoJeff Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Yeah sounds like a plan haha. I'm sure I'll be able to have a weekend free sometime and have a shiny car too 😊 Quote
