  1. Hi When I'm in 2nd gear with low revs, leaving a roundabout for example, the car's not pulling smoothly and kind of stutters/bogs down a little. Seems to get worse once it's warmed up. Did a quick search and saw a few threads about this on 313 350s, but nothing for 370s. It's done just over 30,000, has recently had an Invidia fitted, but was doing it before that was fitted. Any ideas? Cheers
  2. Up to +25 km/h in a built up area and 30 on the motorway they're fixed, above that they'll start looking at your salary. My last fine was 40 francs (£31) for going 1 km too fast
  3. 3 cars out of a group over from the UK caught doing nearly nearly twice the limit in a 80 kph zone on Tuesday.... A Jag F-Type and a Ferrari not sure... 575? confiscated and a total so far of CHF 9300 (£8500) in fines! I'm assuming they'll eventually get the cars back but it's not guaranteed! :scare: For anyone that speaks German (or just wants to name that Ferrari) : http://www.20min.ch/...-Raser-22213317 That's gotta hurt!
  4. just copy and paste this into google.co.uk and it should be the first thing listed: paul_s 370z reversing camera
  5. Ended up paying the rip off Swiss price for it, but had to be done. First impressions.... It's a bit louder than I was expecting! Having said that, I think I'm getting used to it after a couple of weeks, although changing down from 3rd to 2nd in town can be a bit embarrassing with the rev synchro Loving the burble and occasional pops when playing on the twisties. And of course tunnels are fun again After fitting went for a quick run Got to the top of this hill and stopped off at a restaurant. Just sat down when someone came running in saying a blue car was on fire and for a while all you could smell was my exhaust. I must admit, a lot of smoke was coming out of it! Just one thing worrying me. How much louder will it get once it's run in???
  6. Not sure I can put up a link for the one I have as it will take you to the dark side but in the interest of getting the best deal, google: paul_s 370z reversing camera £110 providing you have the connect premium. Paul's a top bloke, he sent mine to Switzerland and everything you'll need is included. Took me, a mod novice, about 2.5 hours on my roadster. The quality is actually better than the factory installed one on my Infiniti
  7. Guessing this doesn't happen often as a forum search came up with nothing, but it was 'melt your face off' hot in Zürich today and the Z was showing 20° C. Was about to close the roof as I thought its getting a bit cool but then I thought, as my face was melting off, I'd hit the aircon button instead. I'm assuming the sensor's faulty, so my question is: Where is the sensor and can I replace it myself? Or... Is there some reset procedure for it? Pedal dance, holding seven buttons down at the same time, etc Cheers
  8. One sticker is good for all Germany
  9. Yep, that's what I'm afraid of. Can't use a trickle charger easily as it's parked in a shared garage with no power nearby unfortunately. New battery it is! Thanks for the advice
  10. I'm going to give it a proper run out to see if it gets better, but any suggestions on what battery to get if there's no change? I only really use it when the weather's decent so it can be stood for weeks and then run for weeks as a daily. Just need something that holds the charge well when it's not being run. With garage cost, insurance etc, I was actually considering selling up as it was stood for so long.... But then I drove it again
  11. Hi Due to naff weather for the last couple of months I didn't get chance to drive my Z. First time I tried starting it, it only just made it, turning over really slowly to begin with. I took it for a good hours run to get some charge in and after that it seemed ok again. I'm now noticing if I leave it for a few days, it will start, but not instantly like normal. Also the volts seem all over the place, sometimes up at just over 14, sometimes 13 and if I just switch on the ignition without starting it's a mm below 12V. Do I just need a new battery or is something else maybe wrong? Cheers
  12. Wow! There's a company here (Switzerland) offering gigabit! I'm running a lousy 500Mb
  13. Just replace the clutch fluid first. Worked for me. Cooked mine on the Autobahn. It was black! Dealer bled and replaced the fluid and to my surprise after a mad blast up and down the autobahn, I'm talking foot to the floor for a good hour, the clutch was fine. The test drive cost more than the fluid change The car was 4 years old when I bought it and I'm assuming the clutch fluid had never been changed. Done a few mountains and Autobahns since and its still perfect.
  14. Totally standard apart from a reversing camera but it's a roadster and the one before...
  15. First mod I've attempted myself. Quite happy it worked out £90 and 2 and a bit hours later:
  16. Wow! Badger looks like it came off better than the car
  17. Good question. I also assumed the whole thing. Hope they don't leave the possibly dirty belt and change the mechanism! Pete raises a good point about the mot advisory. If would fail an mot it will 100% fail the Swiss equivalent. They are really strict.... Whatever happens, I won't be paying.
  18. bit of a dilemma now. Car's already at the dealer, part's already ordered, it'll be swapped under warranty and how can it not fix the problem. Do I tell him to leave it and I'll try washing or just let him get on with changing it because: 1. he told me another Z he has there does the same thing so it appears to be normal 2. as it appears normal, if he changes it and it still doesn't retract he would have to charge me 3. and then on top of all that, surely Nissan should know that just cleaning it would do the job What would you do?
  19. Hmmmm possible, pretty much gets used all the time once the weather picks up but it spent a fair bit of time garaged over the winter. Regardless, I assume it will be fine once replaced. Can't see any reason a brand new seat belt wouldn't retract fully.
  20. Hi Dropped my Z off at the dealers yesterday so get a few things sorted. One of them being the drivers seatbelt doesn't retract all the way. If you feed it in slowly it will eventually retract, but it's a pain and most of the time it just hangs around down by the seat bottom. The dealer will swap out under warranty, but told me he had another roadster there that did exactly the same thing and if they replaced it and it was no better they might have to charge me for it. He may be just trying to get out of doing the work because it's an extended warranty he gave me when I bought the car. I told him to do the work, but now I'm a bit worried it wouldn't make a difference. Anyone else experienced this? Cheers
  21. 350 bought whilst grocery shopping. Happened to be a Nissan dealer next to the supermarket Wasn't even thinking of buying a new car. Love at first sight! 370 found on autoscout24.ch Guessing not many people on here found their cars there
  22. The Q50 hybrid is the weirdest car I think I've ever driven. Couldn't drive it in a straight line at first because the previous driver had put the steering into super sensitive mode which meant the slightest movement to the wheel had the car fidgeting all over the place. Nearly put it into the back of the car in front of me at a set of lights because the braking is crazy weird. Since learnt this is caused by the energy recovery system. Just left you with no feel in the pedal. And then it tried to throw me off the road...... Took it into a slightly damp tight right hand slip road I've driven loads of times before with not much speed and the back end broke out suddenly. Felt like something had dragged the back end around behind me. I put it down to the weight of the batteries Must admit though even after all that, once I'd changed the steering mode and driven it for a while I actually quite liked it. Plenty of power, nice interior with loads of gadgets to play with and I even liked being able to drive silently (well almost ) on the batteries which I never thought would happen! I think that was just the novelty aspect though because I soon had it back in 'Sport' mode. Would I buy one? Don't think so. The handling issues were a bit too worrying.... Mind you, if they were to release the Eau Rouge version I'd have to think about it
