Bems Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Basically finished my megs gold wash which is good enough stuff but looking for recommendations as I fancy trying something different. Considering poorboys as they don't seem to have a bad product in their range for the price. What's everyone using? Quote
OllyB Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Chemical guys, maxi suds. Smells good and gives a good wash. Can buy in bulk as well to make cheaper. Quote
GIXXERUK Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Maxi suds II and I also use glossworkz, both chem guys Glossworkz is brilliant stuff Quote
AliveBoy Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I use this stuff, its really good and smells awesome. I was genuinely surprised when I used it. http://www.shiningmonkey.co.uk/shop/4579423065/Wash-Wax/6544543 Quote
Ekona Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Chemical guys, maxi suds. Smells good and gives a good wash. Can buy in bulk as well to make cheaper. +1 Am currently trying the Poorboys one too which I'm also happy with. The Ph neutral shampoo that came with a Waxybox a few months ago is the best I've ever used though, can't remember the manufacturer now. Quote
Arran Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Im a fan of CG Glossworkz but apparently G Technique wash is meant to be great so il be trying that next. DJ born to be mild is good aswell Quote
Lexx Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I use Tim@Envy's home formula. Served me well so far and is wax friendly. Quote
Daryl Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I use Dodo Juice Supernatural Its no frills, but works brilliantly, and though expensive to buy, last for ages as you need so little of it 1 Quote
AliveBoy Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Fairy liquid, does that count Waits for the and smileys to pour in! 1 Quote
M13KYF Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Fairy liquid, does that count if you want to strip all the wax off your car, then yes Chemical Guys for me Quote
Lexx Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Fairy liquid, does that count I know at least 3 members here who use that to strip wax and sealant off their paint before polishing. Quote
350 Russ Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I'm just about to try Muc-off only £10 for a big bottle and has some good reviews on detailing world Quote
downhuman Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I'd recommend: Britemax Duragloss 901 Hubikote Hubiwash Autobrite Banana Gloss All good value - particularly the britemax - and very good. Essentially though anything without a 'wax' element to it Quote
mikeyb Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I use Swissvax Car bath - Quite expensive but does a good job especially when you use it with other swissvax products. http://www.swissvax.co.uk/product_detail/wash_products/car_bath_470ml Quote
Tigerzed Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Dodo juice born to be mild but always finish with a coat of dodo juice red mist tropical for a total beadfest Quote
GMballistic Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Quite like the Megs gold wash myself +1. That's exactly what I use. Quote
Ekona Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Tbh, I don't think I've ever used a bad shampoo. Some are different than others, but bad? Nope. Quote
370Ad Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Megs NXT as it smells like Parma Violets!...and it cleans well Quote
Dblock Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Mega hyper wash as its massive good and cheap. Also Duragloss is a very slick shampoo. Quote
ilogikal1 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 It depends on whether I want a shampoo that leaves something behind or not but I use/recommend; Poorboys Britemax Hubikote G|Techniq Car Chem Quote
peteman35 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 megs gold class Tryed 90% of shampoo's, all way over priced, just made to smell nice... Found this one gives it the best clean, most suds ive seen and has a nice natural smell Quote
Bems Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Thanks for all the replies. Now to decide. On another note I ordered some products from Tim @ Envy including the new filler killer on Wednesday & they arrived this morning, that's customer service for you Quote
