Question if you have Heated Seats

Iv fitted leather seats into my car and finally got round to wiring up the heated bit of it . . .

 

The question is does the back rest of the seat heat up or is it just the base?

Only the base on mine is getting hot so I might have to re-look if the back is meant to too

Yep, IIRC the switch allows both or just the base to be on (or it could be the other way round)

Pretty sure on mine only the base heat's up (drivers side & passenger side).

 

Does the year model make a difference? or whether you have it on the "low" or "high" setting?.

My driver and passenger seats heat both the back and base, you might have faulty heaters or switches

Hope you're right KyleR as I always use mine on the low setting and have only ever noticed the base heat up.

 

Going to try it on high tomorrow to see if the back heats up too ~ hope it works.

I find it only heats up half way up your back.

The bases heat first then the backs, but generally you can only feel it half way up and by that time your ass is toasty so you turn it off anyways.

I also get both base and back getting warm. Although on the low setting it's a bit difficult to tell

They're not the best heated seats in the world, but seat and back are both heated.

Mine get nice and toasty but never had them on long enough to notice if its base or base and back.

Well after a short drive today to the in laws I discovered that my heated seats do in fact heat the base & back ~ this was on the high setting.

So it's looking like on the cool setting it just heats the base and on the Hot setting it heats them both??

 

Is this right and could someone test it out for me please. .

Why would anyone use the low setting? Even on high the temperature change barely registers. As said, they're probably the worst heated seats I've ever used (Merc ones are the best, the high setting is like having your posterior perched precariously 'pon the sun!).

Mine get pretty hot too ~ not sure I start sweating though although probably does kill my sperm.
