maxi-glasgow Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 After watching the 4x4 video this was one of the little videos linked. Do you think the cop is a bit excessive?? I reckon he will have a big lawsuit coming Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Pretty dumb (the cop) as everyone has a camera these days..... then again the driver was an a$$, not that he deserved what happened but an a$$ all the same... Quote
scobie140 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Nah serves the driver right for trying to be a smart ar*se, guys just doing his job no need to run over his foot Quote
rtbiscuit Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I have no problem with the cop. Driver was a d!ck Quote
ioneabee Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 it looked half a dozen of one and six of the other really - both of them need a kick up the proverbial Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I have no problem with the cop. Driver was a d!ck Really? Driver was a d1ck agreed but total over reaction, not like he pulled a gun or knife... Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Poor taxi driver. Gets his door dented Pretty sure thats an occupational hazard Quote
sidewayz350z Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I would be more worried about the hot blonde driving my car but the cop stepped forward and clearly bent his legs next to the bumper so deserves everything he got...!!! Quote
ddcboyle Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 In a way their both winners. Driver can say he ran over a cop and the cop can say he beat a man out a ferrari 2 Quote
Stutopia Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 From late night watching of COPS (cos I'm a bad boy, watch ya gonna do etc) you drive a car towards and then touch a cop, you're looking at a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Why not just take the ticket? He's obviously not skint and presumably parked in a red zone (whatever that means). Two bellends fighting over who's the biggest bellend, leave 'em to it. Evolution will resolve 1 Quote
wmr1980 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 (edited) ^^ well said. The cop sort of engineered that to happen, but the guy in the car shouldn't have been such an arrogant arse about it all. Edited August 13, 2013 by wmr1980 Quote
Jay Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 That is ridiculous.......... cant believe that. Quote
georgerobertfreeman Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I always thought you were entitled to drive away even if the Police were writing out a ticket? Could be wrong, also could be different in the US? I think the policeman over reacted by punching the window and dragging the driver out like he did. Quote
BillyZed Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Total over reaction from the cop! I'd of ran his foot over too Quote
scubapics Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 The policeman was arrogant. He was quite happy to be weary of other vehicles and move out of their way and the Ferrari was no different. He has to take responsibility for his own safety and actions. He actually moved closer to the Ferrari rather than the other way around. The guy, who probably has the cash, will have a good lawyer and sue the police officer and the police department for all he can. The police officer will has a buggered foot for the rest of his life. Was it worth it? Quote
Luke0549 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well, the police officer was a tool. He saw the driver going to pull away to stood closer to the car and put his foot closer to the wheel. its not like a Ferrari is as quiet as a prius, you are going to hear it start? any normal person would move away. which he should have done. and in reply to'scubapics' he wont have a buggered foot for the rest of his life. he is wearing steel toe caps and your foot being run over isn't the worst thing. happened to me before and im still walking? Officer should be sacked. absolute tool. Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 That cop's limping for the camera. Unfortunately for him the camera caught much more than just his limping.... Quote
OV53 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I love how the copper is actually fine enough to drag the guy out of the car and then tackle him to the ground and put cuff on him but as soon as he notices that everyone is filming it he puts a limp on. It can hardly be classed as assault when you inflict it upon yourself. Quote
coldel Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Clearly we all need to look into the US laws to know who was right and who was wrong - I'm not sure but if he is issuing a parking ticket the driver is entitled to drive away? The cop then put himself in the way deliberately. But yes, driver is a dick, cop is as quite a few are, often using excess of their powers when dealing with the public. He did lose it and throw a punch then drag the guy out the car. Quote
Luke0549 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I fail to see at which point the driver was in the wrong? :/ Quote
sipar69 Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I'm not defending the policeman, but if I came back to my car to find a cop standing over it writing a ticket, common sense would tell me that just trying to get in and drive away as though nothing was happening is probably going to get his back up and lead to the situation escalating. After all, the police in any country don't tend to react well when their authority is challenged or undermined. Quote

After all, the police in any country don't tend to react well when their authority is challenged or undermined. Can police even give parking tickets over here? I'm think they can as I'm sure there was a story about the police giving a traffic warden a ticket a while ago as he was parked in a bad spot and gave them lip, but I doubt it's worth their time considering they probably have bigger things to deal with. Dblock Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Officer wouldn't have acted that way if it was a ford. Plus the engine is in the back in a Ferrari what a girl :-p Quote
