What the eck has buying a shed got to do with insuring the car?

Unless you thinking about putting the shed on the roof of the car, in which case I would check you insurance lol.

I am sure your getting madder lol:)

There are dedicated companies that provide one day insurance.

A quick google should pop up some places.

I was just gonna try that but thought my own company might sort me out seeing as I been with them a while.

I think he just wants to insure the shed to get it home legally ;) That's how it reads to me anyway ...

Im with Admiral and phoned them up last week to ask if i was allowed to drive other cars on my policy - and they told me i was - so i think this would cover you maybe?

Only if they are already covered by another insurance policy for someone else.

Can't see there should be a major problem - in the same way those garages who loan cars while yours in service but require your own insurance to cover it rather than theirs.

But it will be at a cost of course and if it is one of the non-specialist companies they may not have the right number of tick boxes (or comon-sense) to help you............

With admiral you can add on another car to your policy. Last time I done it they charged around £17. That's for up to a week so they told me to use the full week rather than a few days as it won't be cheaper

Dont change the owner until the following day..so you can drive it home on your insurance 3rd party..

No, insure the car correctly.

PS, an awful lot of people no longer have DOC on their policies. Do not assume you have it.

Thats not bad at all. When I was selling my old car, I just wanted similar cover so I could take buyers out on test drives and the only thing they offered me was a months cover for the same price as I was previously paying for 12 months cover - as I couldnt use my NCB on both my new car & old one. Right pain, as I could only drive one car at once, and the one I was selling sat in my drive unused until I sold it.
