Beavis Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Have posted this before but this is the best snowman ever. The hand in the air and his grin cracks me up! Quote
Dalos Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I know you should be sensible with your speed in snowy conditions, but you wouldn't want to hang about on this road for too long! EDIT: Pic removed to do Chrome Malware warning. Quote
Ebized Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Have posted this before but this is the best snowman ever. The hand in the air and his grin cracks me up! Whenever I see that pic I do worry about his pile Quote
DoogyRev Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 The trees make that pic look odd. Now you know why some trees dont start until half way up the trunk  Quote
FUG Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Off to bed and no more snow here in sleepy Suffolk sky does look rather gloomy though .... Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Been looking out of the window all night but nothing..... I do have a super duper weather forcast link though so been looking at that, it's going to be snowing all day here Sunday Quote
AK350Z Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 Nothing low down here, so had to go and get some! Not a lot of people know there's a ski tow in the lakes, hardly surprising, when its an over an hours walk from the nearest road! Helvellyn summit 1 Quote

Jay Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Perfect temp mate. Come on up Andy, the water is waiting for you  Quote
AK350Z Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Perfect temp mate. Come on up Andy, the water is waiting for you  Might bring the wetsuit then! The water/air temps in the lake are probably about 5*C/1*C at the minute, up at Durness that time, it was more like 14*C/5*C. Much warmer Quote
Jay Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Meh, you are made of tough stuff...... no need for a wet suit son lol Quote
Humpy Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Heavy snow falling once again and laying very quickly and after two good days of it thawing out Quote

spursmaddave Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Can't see them running one of those through London Bridge at rush hour Quote
AK350Z Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Oh, no work you say? GET IN!!! Up to the top of the Pike again, quite a struggle in places with powder ranging from one foot, to waist deep! Only had the camera phone on me though, so it all looks a bit blue. Need a PS tweeker 360 degree view, photobucket not a fan. Not a single other footprint on the mountain Quote
Harryjax Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Lashing down with snow in Bristol & Bath. :-) Quote
AK350Z Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 Blimey, back again! It's not the cold depths of 2010, but actual number of snow days quite high. Glad I stayed an extra hour at work last night so I didn't have to go down this morning The old GP is still doing well on the Dunlop 3D winters, although 18,000 hard miles has just about finished them off now. I swapped the fronts to the back for this winter, but they are just about on the limit of acceptability now, so I expect they'll be binned in the spring. Quote
martinmac Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Plenty of snow up here in Rosyth today. Dont envy the guys working on the barges. Quote
