Wasso Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Well, I've decided on a colour for the Ksports...... Drumroll........ Custom Pearl Candy Apple Red with white decals. Should have them back in around a weeks time. 3 Quote
GMballistic Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 ^^ Fantastic looking colour ~ those should really look great when done. 1 Quote
grahamc Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 with these sorts of colours you are never going to want to drive it........... it might actually get some dirt on it! 1 Quote
Wasso Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 She will end up being a weekend/Friday car. So she will end up being loved more than she is now doing 800 miles a week. They should be just as easy cleaning standard looking calipers as the process is identical in application. Quote

ioneabee Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Thats very similar to how my callipers came out Quote

I can't drive a car with MPG in the 17's or less 160 miles a day. I'd be broke!! Quote

Wasso Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 So we agree on special days. Well, I've decided on a colour for the Ksports...... Drumroll........ Custom Pearl Candy Apple Red with white decals. Should have them back in around a weeks time. Why not anodising them in that colour? Anodising won't bring the same effect. Candy is made up of a number effects that anodising won't cover. Also I don't want to go through the headache and cost of testing with anodising to be honest. Anyway when she's painted the calipers will match the bodywork. Quote
Wasso Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Herewith the finished product. Hats off to the guys at The Brake Caliper Specialists. They've gone beyond their standard paint database to provide the Candy Apple Red. Custom stencils - artwork done by "Cal" - so thanks matey for those. They're heading down to me for Wednesday and the plan is to have them fitted Friday. Enjoy..... comments welcome. I'm sure pictures don't do them justice, especially with this sort of paint finish. 6 Quote
glrnet Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Is that a chip I can see on the last picture at top left. Very nice though mate. 1 Quote
