  1. Hello, im thinking on preventing that my summercar (350z) gets the rustbug. Im looking for a spraying diagram för treating the 350z with cavityvax like the dinitrol treatment diagram. Do someone have the dinitrol treatment diagram for the 350z or have som other detailed picture or text where to treat the 350z with cavityvax. //Jocke
  2. I started tearing down the front end. Had to remove the headlight washer tank and reroute the steering oil cooler with modifications done to the brackets to make room for the intercooler.
  3. Hello everyone! I got tired working outside on the car, so i paused the project and built a garage for the car. Now its done and the project is on again. started on the inside by modify the center console to harbour a boost pressure gauge and a wideband lambda gauge but still maintain the OEM-look.
  4. GMBallastic: That is so true. my first plan was to wait and fit everything during the early month of 2015, but might put the decats on next weekend. so i can go out and drive in the tunnels. Someone know of any good mounting guide/how too to fit decats?
  5. Very nice car and supercool modifications done to it. Keep up the good work!
  6. Collection of parts for 2015: Oilcooler, decats, supercharger Okay guys and girls. i will add some more parts i have collected to be fitted to the car. Oilcooler: First of, after reading about the Vq35de engine and my own experience from the Nurburgring the stock oilcapacity and cooling of the oil is poor during sporty driving. So i have invested in an Stillen oil cooler kit for the 350z, its include everything needed to be mounting it on the 350z. the oilcooler is an Setrab oilcooler. I might have to modify the kit somewhat due to going to run a front mounted intercooler but more about that later on. Decats: I like the stock exhaust but when going supercharged and maybe running abit on the rich-side with fuel for safety this will be bad for the Catalytic converters so will just have them on MOT-Days, and i have bought some used Japspeed decats with Cel-fix included that i will use. The plus side is that i have read people gain around 8-10whp with this mod alone. Supercharger: I have bought a used procharger kit. Have some diffrent pulley sizes but will go with stock 7psi boost setting, Im not looking for crazy power just around +100whp, as the zed should have been built from the first place. but when everything is mounted i will dyno the car for a more exact hp-figure. Will not be using the stock fuelkit that came with the procharger kit, due to it not beeing able to change timing = knocking = possible engine failure. I will go down a diffrent path but more about that later. I still have some more things to get until the parts for the modlist for 2015 is finnished. thats all for this time. Please leave comment, its motivates me to post more
  7. Looks very good with the plastidip frontlip. Keep up the good work!
  8. Very cool brakes, You bought them from Simon in Denmark?, he has alot of cool Zed stuff!.
  9. A good looking Zed. how does it work with the led-lights, is it just a straigth shift or any other modifications that need to be done before they work?.
  10. Collection of parts for 2015: Suspension After the Nurburgtrip i felt that the car needs modified suspension for 2015. By accident i came over some Used D2 true Coilovers at an good price, i know they are not as good as KW or Bilstein but for the price i payed this will be the best option.
  11. GMballastic: Thank you for your great write up on performance modifications, I have that list in the back of my head and have started collecting alot of parts to put on next session. will post pics of the things i got sone. Whackywill: Thank you for the warm welcome
  12. Nurburgring trip number one: A long time dream of mine have been to visit Nurburgring and drive on the nordschleife also called "The green hell". This summer i spent a couple of days in Nurburg and drove on the circut. And i must say, its soo addictive. The Nissan performed very good even being stock, stock brembo breaks did a good job. The car could benifit of having a bit harder spring and damper setting and a bit more enginepower. I also belive an oilcooler is a good thing to get, becouse the oil got pretty hot. I have already started on planing my next trip to Nurburgring for next year and modification on the car to suit the track better.
  13. Hello GMballistic. Thanks for your comment. I read trough the link you posted, and got many good idees. I might go with the removing weight path, but i want to have abit streetdrivability left, and removing the interior makes the car so loud ( = gf do not want to ride in the car) So first i will try increase the power output to compensate the Zed beeing on the heavy side and a bit underpowered. Im going the supercharging way, but more about that later.
  14. First modication: - Plenum spacer After buying the car and reading alot on 350z-uk.com and also the american entusiastpage for the 350z. I understood that one of the best performance per dollar modification to the early vq35de (2003-2005) engine. Is a plenumspacer. so i bought an motordyne 5/16 basic plenumspacer. My evaluation of the mod: Acually i got a bit suprised that i felt a clear diffence after putting it on. the car got more rev happy from 3500rpm and and up. And the intake sound got abit louder and deeper sounding. So im very happy with the modification.
  15. The story begins:My first car i bought 10-12 years ago was a Nissan s12 that i modified and built into a driftcar. I sold that car and started school and began to ride motorbikes at trackdays as a weekend joy. But after i graduated school i sold my bike and in 2013 i bought a used Nissan 350z gt- EU spec from 2004 with the VQ35DE engine with 280hp and 363nm torq. When i bought it it was stock with the GT-package:*leather interior* Vlsd* Brembo brakes* Speed controler* K&N typhoon coldair intake kit.The plans:My plan with the car is to build it into a trackday car and also be able to use it as a weekend car and give me the most fun for reasonable money.Im very happy for comments and tips to make the car even better.
