The Bounty Bar Kid Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 Yeah there's some real dodgy alloys out there. This was the only design I liked. Now to find a set I like to wrap in winter tyres. Quote
andy james Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Lovely looking car Dip. Go easy to start with after that Clio! 2 Quote

Thanks Andy, Yeah I put my foot down a bit in the test drive but nothing too aggressive. Of course I'm going to be careful until I know her handling and limits better. Slowly pushing every day until I know what she's capable of. Already got a list of things to do... GAP insurance Put my old plate onto her Front 4k and rear 1080p dashcam Winter alloys and tyres Rear GTS lights Window tints Exhaust - maybe but the two I like are £3500/7000 so that might have to wait a bit. Maybe next year 🤣 Oh and I've named her Carla 😍 Edited August 28, 2022 by The Bounty Bar Kid Quote
Stutopia Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 There is so much grip available you’d have to be being extremely careless to do something daft. My only caveats are exiting wet/greasy junctions (careful in any RWD) and if its running the Pirelli P Zeros that mine came with, which were frankly terrifying! 2 Quote

Unfortunately it's raining on Saturday when I pick her up and yeah she's wrapped in Pirelli P Zeros. I'll be changing her to Michelin Pilot Sports 4s as soon as they need to be replaced. Quote
GranTurismoEra Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Congrats...Wrap it Sapphire Blue later 😂. You sure you cant get a custom exhaust made or tails. Any warranty with the car? Quote

Might take it to Porsche or an independent. Main dealer is Sidcup or independent is Crawley for me. Quote

I was very much surprised by loss of grip approaching corners on the brakes, not so much the back end coming out of bends. To be honest, I wouldn’t wait until they run out, just swap ‘em. I tried to give away two Pirellis, couldn’t get rid. It’s not that busy and it’s mainly about 987s, but pop over, there’s some helpful and friendly members. https://www.caymanoc.com/profile/2841-stutopia/ 1 Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted August 28, 2022 Author Posted August 28, 2022 Yeah spent quite a bit of time on that forum reading up on the 981. There's nothing that compares to this forum though. Best bunch of people I've ever come across on a car forum. 2 Quote

The Bounty Bar Kid Posted August 31, 2022 Author Posted August 31, 2022 So a little update and Carla is ready to be picked up. They've completed a service on her, and replaced the front discs and pads. They've also done the usual valet on her. I'll be picking her up on Friday ❤️, leaving early from work. At the same time, my shopping list has expanded. So far I've got this on my list... Front luggage compartment liner Guards red seatbelts GAP insurance New number plates made with my personalised registration, same on that I had on the 350z Blackvue 900x plus 2ch dash cam hardwired with cellink neo 8+ battery pack Concaver CVR1 Winter alloys in matt graphite and Michelin pilot alpin 5 tyres Window tints - rear (dark), rear side (mid-dark) and front side (light) Akropovic or Armytrix exhaust I should be able to get all of these items bar the exhaust in the next couple of months 🥰 1 Quote

Stutopia Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 The frunk liner is brilliant. Also you forgot GTS brake lights. If you do 7 grand on an exhaust you’re a crazy man! 1 Quote

The Bounty Bar Kid Posted September 1, 2022 Author Posted September 1, 2022 I can't answer that. I probably won't. But it depends on how much I love the standard sports exhaust. I could get the armytrix one, that's only £3,500. Quote
