What are you going for? XK?

I thought about a Jag but I’m thinking more a smaller coupe

I did like Ekonas advice though. Don’t try get something similar because I will be disappointed - I might even go FWD

I’m scared, Dan.

I’m scared that Col has lost the plot and will end up in a ‘Teg with too many digits in the price tag…

Just seen Col's new Teg. It's mint. £28k is a lot of money, but hopefully they'll keep going up...

Wow didn't know they went for that sort money, it must be special, look forward to seeing the pics

Well still looking. I have managed to convince the missus that 4 seats as a 'must have' just isn't going to work so have managed to scrub that from the list.

I am thinking something like an SLK55, Z4 35i or a gen 1 Cayman. Something that will be good fun for 18 months or so then can sell on without too much value of the car lost.

Was looking at E46 M3s but not sure on the auto boxes. They are still great looking cars though.

Think you written off the 4 seats now but would look at an Jaguar XFR over an M3, the RS maybe out of budget, they are fun.

Just sold an SLK, they are nice compared to a 350 inside, quick, but they don't like corners I found, disappointing in my view and they starting to show there age (my view).

Z4M are fun, cayman are nice too, but make you cry a lot if they go wrong 😃

XFR just seems a bit too barge for me.

I did read up on Z4M and they say you are better off with a 3.0 coupe which handles better and overall better package bizarrely

Z4M bit like the m2 vs 240 m sport, if you like driving you get the proper M 😆

The XFR is a big car, the RS version is much better on handing and hides it weight well.

I would take the cayman over a z4 any day though 🤣

I have not driven the R scirocco, have a less powered version, visibility is rubbish, was nice to drive though on longer distances, although found it bit unexciting to drive when getting a bit more frisky.

Driving a can of beans is a step up in visibility vs what I have just sold!

I had a Scirocco as a company car ten years back and quite liked it.

Cayman is coming through strong though...the S over the base model of course.

Those vx220 are fun, nearly bought one, but they are a bugger to get in and out off 🤣

If you get anything less than an S we will have you banned from the forum. On a serious note the gts version are great if you have the budget.

I think the base might be a bit of an underpriced gem. The numbers are not that much lower than the S and there's a few quid to be saved.

If the 981 has to go when the commute returns, I've got my eye on a 987.
