ioneabee Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 wow - insurance must be interesting but at 26 you're late taking your test Quote
chirag1988 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Haha nice one mate! That must be a first! Quote
nowhereboy Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Congratulations! I can't say I've ever heard of anyone passing the test in a Z. Surely you're insurance must be beyond ridiculous? I'm an insurance broker and don't know of any company's that would let you learn in a Z. Quote

JetSet Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Well done, it's not that common for people to pass their test in their own car and in a Zed is quite amazing and possibly unique. Just looking at the regulations, the 350Z coupe only just squeezes in to what you can take your test in.....in theory at least, the roadster doesn't . Pete Quote
cov350z Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 ^^^ i did have a surprising chat with the dsa about it i got several hang on a moment i need to ask .... before i just took it theres only a few cars on there not allowed list most are soft tops because of the reduced visibility Quote
Paul K Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I went to school with a girl who took her test in a Mk2 Escort RS2000. Not quite a Zed but still pretty exiting to take a test in!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Richf Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Kudos , probably not a bad car to be honest Quote
jimmy.farrow7 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Well done mate this is a great story minus the £2.5k lol Quote
Exec Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Congratulations! No more 'L' plates or somebody sitting next to you whenever you go out! This is a first for me also... I think I passed in a Ford Fiesta if I remember correctly. P.S sorry to hear about your insurance! Quote

Convertibles and panel vans aren't allowed... although I wonder what would happen if you turned up in a convertible on a hot summers day and said don't worry the roof will be down so you can see? HaydnH Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 The roadster also exceeds the weight limit ! What, 3500kg? Surely that only happens if one of the Zed Shed doughnut boys is driving? 1 Quote
