Jeff king Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Does anybody else get this? Driving along and suddenly realise my Arse is getting hot. I think the dashboard would be a more suitable place to put the heated seat switch. Not where my elbow naturally wants to rest. Quote
Stutopia Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I catch the hazards occasionally with my coat on. Custom elbow rest? Quote
Humpy Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I am always catching the heated seat button and the dog is always blimmin pressing the hazard button! Quote

veilside z Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I have a raised leather padded armrest cover that sits on top of the cubby door, behind the switches so this issue does not arise. Quote

The only thing that happens to me is that I frequently knock the wiper switch on when getting in. Pete Quote
Quinster Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 My Snow button gets it. Have to bump it into neutral and then back into drive. Pisses me of no end. Quote
Kieran_ctr Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I'm same! Constantly turning it on & off its really annoying! Can't understand why they didn't out it where the ashtray/coin storage is! Quote

Many complaints about the hazard warning lights too, I've never knocked them on while in motion but have a few times while getting out. This was addressed in the facelift by moving the switch forward. Pete Quote
GrahameJ Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I agree with Veilside and an elbow pad helps prevent this. Here is mine:: Quote
Kraziekatz1 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I think the car was designed for the more slender built driver........everything's just in the right place for me Quote
Smc1992 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I was always knocking the heated seats switch on, I havnt done it for a while though, must have subconsciously altered my driving position. Quote

Jeff king Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Not in my 04 DE. They're two small plastic switches underneath where graheme's elbow pad is. 1 Quote

I've 2 blank buttons under the pad, which don't have switches as my car has cloth seats, so I did not mind covering them up. 1 Quote
