slates Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Hi guys & girls. Just a quick introduction from a new Z owner. I've recently upgraded from a mk1 MX5 to a 350 and hoping to get along to a few events/meets before the end of summer... I'm a classic car body fabricator and welder by trade and also own a '72 MGB GT. Cheers, Ian Quote
GMballistic Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Welcome aboard Ian. Zed looks very nice in red. I've a fondness for the old MGB's as I used to work for a classic car restorers at one point were we specialised in MG's and Triumphs mainly. Quote
veilside z Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Hello and welcome to the club. Lovely colour the red and not a colour seen that often. Quote
Smc1992 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Welcome! You're not too far from where I work if you're in Colne. Do you work for yourself? I work with someone who owns a Triumph Spitfire who may be interested in the services of a classic car restorer... Quote
gsexr Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Got a very large soft spot for an MGB GT myself. Had one before and find myself looking at them again. Easy to live with and a lot of fun. Go quite well with a webber on Quote
Jay Kay Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Strange but I've always had a soft spot for an mgb gt also 1 Quote
slates Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Cheers for the welcomes guys. I do think the MGB GT has a timeless coupe shape, much like the 350... I'm from Colne but work for a small classic car specialist in Earby. We do anything, MGs, A-Hs, Jags, Alfas... Quote
jimmy.farrow7 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I do like the red Zed never seen one in the flesh, more likely to see a unicorn than a red Zed around my area Quote
rabbitstew Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 1972 was a good year, ive got a 1972 Mini in my shed! Welcome! Quote
slates Posted August 11, 2015 Author Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) Cheers guys. The red is what drew me to this Zed, it looks amazing after a good polish. My first car was a Mini, rabbitstew. Edited August 11, 2015 by slates 1 Quote
