The VQ35DE requires specialized knowledge to rebuild these motors properly. These are 11.0:1 CR pistons and the are +50 oversize. They are suitable for 96.000/96.020mm bore size. I do not think that they come with rings as the seller would have said so, however his contact number is in the listing and I am sure that he will clerify if you give him a ring. There are cheaper and better pistons with rings on the market than Cosworth However these could be a bargain if they fit in with your proposed build, but remember rings are not cheap if they are not included with this package. You are worried about the different oils effecting your car I would be more concerned about the low oil pressure and the noisy engine and the damage that you have definately caused by running with very little oil in your engine. Alex.

5W30 fully sync is what you should be using. Do not run your car until you have the oil topped up even if it means walking to the oil shop. Alex

I have no experience with Do-luck filters, however I regularly sell and fit the Cosworth and HKS performance panel filters to the HR air boxes and have had no fitment issues or customer complaints. Alex.

Tight fit is normal, however excessive force should not be used or you will damage the filter. Reposition drop in panel filter and try again. Alex

Was chatting to Dreadnought today and I mentioned about the possibility of this event being cancelled as well due to low numbers, however they have stated that this event will go ahead whatever, as they require some serious track time for there race cars prior to a championship event at Knockhill on Sat 10th Sept.
