  1. On the occasions when I have had a car from Nissan while mine was in for a service I have had the following: Micra Note (top of the range Teknika) Leaf The Leaf is weird - takes some getting used to driving in near silence after the 350z (aka "The Black Beast" as called by the Service Desk Manager - )
  2. My 08 350zHR is starting to feel like it needs a new clutch (take up is juddery at standstill or very low speed - also very noticeable noise when clutch pedal is not depressed in neutral). It is my daily driver, so after reading around the site, I would like to stay with a DMF but £800 for an OEM Nissan one got me looking for an aftermarket one. The only one I can seem to find is the LUK - does anyone have one fitted or had any experience of one in the past? Should I just go Nissan OEM or does anyone have any suggestions (Exedy, Clutch Masters, Competition Clutch) ? Appreciate any insight/advice
  3. Yes but it is more of an emergency release - I was thinking along the lines of replicating the electronic switch just above the number plate but in the cabin somewhere.
  4. Has anyone looked at putting in a boot release switch in the cabin? There are a couple of blank switches that can be used (either mount an after market switch or use a Nissan switch from a different model - R35 GTR or G35/G37 look a good fit) I am not a electronics guy at all but wouldn't it be a case of just running duplicate wires from the actuator to where you want the switch to be, or is the wiring to the boot release more "integrated" than that?
  5. Thanks - I will check them out
  6. Hi, I recently changed the front pads and noticed that the piston seals have seen better days (although they are not leaking - yet) Is replacing them something at can be done at home or is it better to have a professional do it? Where could I get a rebuild kit from if I wanted to have a go myself? Thanks
  7. Just wanted to post a line or two saying thanks for the great service from Ewen and everyone for the very quick and professional response to my questions and the extremely quick delivery of a O/S window motor. I can now get in and out of car parks etc, without having to lean out of the door The prices are very good too - saved me over £100 compared to what Nissan wanted to charge me for the motor.
  8. I have one of these under the passenger seat (it is just a 1kg bag for silica crystals - like you get in electronic goods packaging) it does seem to make a difference You just have to remember to sit it on a radiator occasionally to dry it out
  9. Mine arrived yesterday and it too is a great fit and finish! I thought I would post a couple of photos so anyone thinking about ordering one would see what a great job Ian (14N) does. Thanks Ian - great job!!

  11. My mate in Austin, Texas has furry seat covers on his Camero convertible. He says they are to stop his legs and back sticking to the leather seats in the summer, although I think he is just a 70's pimp in the wrong era
  12. I miss not having a bluetooth phone system in my car. After reading a number of the posts on here about it, I have obviously got two options: Buy the factory system, as my car has the cabling and the buttons on the steering wheel but no control box under the false flor in the glovebox or the cradle and BT adaptor in the armrest cubby. OR Buy an aftermarket system (Parrot or other) What is the general opinion? Can an aftermarket system utilise steering wheel buttons, mic by the rear view mirror and pipe through the stereo (BOSE System)? Thanks, Charlie
  13. Hi, I have just bought my first "Z" I found this site very helpful in knowing what to look for and what to avoid As a result I am now the happy owner of a "08" 350z 313 GT Chasman231
