  1. That is the car in front you diddy or are you just taking the **** ?
  2. Hi Colin, the phrase "swinging by" was directed at the Scottish contingency on the forum however I know that you already new this and was just teasing. You live in the wrong country mate. I will give you a ring next week and try and arrange a hook up when you venture North
  3. Being local in Perth, I would love to invite you along and help you Andy, but my shop neighbours are already complaining to me about excessive noise and fumes.
  4. For granting me 2 hours free track time to run the newly built engine in, on the Nismo R35 GT-R which is a new addition to the stable. Also thank you for the free track time for data logging my mates GT3 RS. Finally thank you for the free use of Paddock 2 to run the diff in on the 350, trust me, half an hour doing a figure of 8 makes you really dizzy. I will have 3 cars (R35-350-Atom at Knockhill this Saturday, 9am- 1pm. Please do swing by for a chat and some pax laps. :drive1 Just sign in, grab a helmet and off we go. Alex.
  5. If you want to flaff around then charge the battery fully and then test with a discharge meter. Check the alternator charging rate and and check for a slow discharge. Check engine earths and battery and starter connections. Remove and bench test the starter motor. etc etc etc. Or just fit a new battery
  6. I think that you may have just answered your own question.
  7. Perhaps yes, perhaps no, but you don't have a problem until you have a problem.
  8. Top your oil up to the max and keep your fingers crossed. If the oil light was not flickering then you may have got lucky. As regards to what the potential damage may be: Best not go there. I am a half glass full sort of guy.
  9. Just put the proper fuses in all the locations.
  10. The split pin will not stop the nut from coming loose. It is there top stop the nut from falling off.
  11. How do you know that it is stock ? have you owned the car from new? If SMF fitted. then that is your cause. Otherwise if definitely stock, then could be DMF, exhaust baffle, exhaust rear box heat shield, cat heat shields, however could be many, many other things as not enough information provided. If you are up in Perth at any time, then just swing by and I will soon tell you what it is and also the fix. Alex.
  12. Check that the rubber oil catch seal below the oil filler cap has not got trapped.
  13. Back on topic, Sorry. Yes, agree with above as messing with the final drive and the Racelogic stuff appears to work on the 350. You have these mods Alex or know someone who does? Would be interested to hear your opinion. I personally do not have these mods, however I know a few guys with them but not with both mods. The 3.3 speaks for itself and the ones with the Racelogic rave about it.
  14. If there is no oil on your dipstick, then I guess that you have found your demon. Best advice that I can offer is, do not drive until you have checked your oil.

  16. Difficult to answer that one, however the 350 is more fun, but after a hard 2 hour open pit with the 350 you are knackered as the GTR is more refined and trick, and with the paddles and twin clutch, gear changes are extremely rapid and precise which probably just gives it the edge on lap times around Knockhill but only by a few hundreds of a second. However, the 350 is in the shop at the moment with the diff, gearbox, and all four suspension corners dropped so I expect the 350 may edge it next week.
  17. Car looks shite underneath, I would get that covered up asap. if I was you.
  18. I think that it is great that certain dealers are asking strong money for the 350/370s. Nobody is forcing any one to buy, however somebody will buy. Absolutely nowt wrong with pricing as one sees fit, especially when it certainly helps with keeping residuals high, which should make all you owners happy. So why knock some one for asking strong money when it helps keep the value of your car up there. Stating on a public forum that the car is overpriced is extremely negative, and detrimental to future healthy residuals.

Did you not notice these issues on your test drive ? Faults are always a great price negotiating tool.
