  1. Interesting... I'm waiting for my 2015 Nismo to arrive - been looking to upgrade immediately but might wait till I get it having read this. Thanks, James
  2. Thanks for the info Chris. Point 3 is my main concern now, but for £185 it's probably worth a punt. Given that no-one around here has ever seen the nismo I'd like to get the exhaust fitted immediately so it looks/sound like it was always meant to be like that.
  3. Hi, thanks for the offer. There's no need to put yourself out swapping and changing between the two but if the short tails are on at the moment then I'd gladly pop by on the way home from work and have a listen? Kind Regards, James
  4. Hi Colin, thanks for the post - I had found the 370z sub-forums but for a newcomer it was difficult to tell what was relevant to what model z. I have to be honest... I purchased the Nismo on a bit of a whim. Most of my previous cars have been high revving turbo types and I didn't have much knowledge of the Z's before my purchase - I'm sure I'll get there (and will happily post my learnings on this forum for others to gain from) but at the moment I'm still a little unsure on what will fit my 2015 Nismo. Those two threads you've linked are showing a lot of the content for the <= 2014 model for example - I'm sure the 2015 isn't that different, but it's nice to be 100% sure before I start down the expensive modding route. Cheers, James
  5. Ha ha, yes its the exhaust - although I'm not too sure how much info on the forums relates to the nismo vs the non-nismo. I'm guessing the 2015 Nismo isn't really any louder and the same complaints exist? I was considering some short tails to begin with (Cybox perhaps), or maybe a full system once Christmas is out of the way. I ordered the Nismo the day after the missus told me how much she wants off me for our wedding next year so need to take things delicately :-) The biggest confusion is not knowing how much content on the forum is applicable to the 2015 Nismo. I'll check out the Gemini though - I might push the f#@kit button anyway :-)
  6. Hi everyone, In typical fashion my first post was in the modding section and this is my second post! I have a 370z Nismo on order (white of course) and can't wait for it to arrive - I've been looking for information on the 2015 Nismo but it's been a little scant so if any of you out there have one, please feel free to say hi and let me know how you're getting on. Thanks, James
  7. Hi all, I have a new 370z Nismo arriving in a few weeks time and have been reading around on the forums doing a bit of research and I'm fairly certain I'm not going to be happy with the stock noise coming from my Z. I'm looking for a simple (in terms of £££'s) upgrade. However, I've found a lot of the advice on here is for the older 370z model (or rather the posts are generally older) and / or the products I'm looking at state fitment for the older versions and I'm not sure if the description is out of date or they genuinely don't fit. So, I have some questions, can anyone confirm / deny, help with any (or all) of the following? I guess I'm correct in thinking that the 2015 370z Nismo is still pretty weak in terms of exhaust sound, no better than the previous versions? That the 2015 will indeed take most of the exhaust parts from the previous versions? Given that I'm looking at the Cybox Short Tails, will they fit without adapting the mounts on the car? Do they fit well in the Nismo rear bumper (I ask this because I see that the AAM ones have adjustable tips, claiming to solve specific fitment issues for the Nismo) Where is best to buy in the midlands (or who is reputable who can ship). Is there anything else I should be aware of in doing this mod? I'm handy with a spanner. I just want some volume, and nothing to break in the process :-) Thanks in advance for any help. Kind Regards, James
