Let's just step back.
You say that that the oil pressure dropped from 0-5psi whilst driving and you pulled over.
I guess that you do not know how long you were driving before you noticed the low oil pressure.
Did the oil warning light come on ?
How much oil is in the engine at present ?
If the oil pressure was that low then I would expect your engine to be rattling its head off.
So what to do is:
From cold dip the oil and make sure it is at the correct level.
Hook up an independent gauge directly to the engine with a known fully working gauge and check the oil pressure.
Hopefully you will find that the oil pressure is good and that you either have a faulty oil pressure gauge or a faulty oil pressure sender unit.
DE and HR springs are the same.
Plenty in stock and good to go same/next day.
£12.00 each or £20.00 for a pair.
Just drop me a PM if I can help further.
The oil pump drives directly off the crankshaft and not by a cog.
Also a proper chain kit is nearer the £1000.00 mark.
What garage are you using at present ?
May be a plan to get a second opinion from a 350Z indy specialist.
Where are you based, so we can advise further.
Alex.

Have you had any with the tarmacsportz style side steps on your lift with any issues?

No, I have had no experience with these, best to speak to Tarmac.
Providing it is not to much of an agricultural 2 poster and the arms are not 6" H beams then you should get on no problem.
I get 350s which are lowered circa 25mm on my 2 poster, but I have slim sliding arms on mine. (R35 specific)
The pads will not crush OEM sills, but you may have an issue with some after market.
Just adjust the rev light and stick in a set of pre owned gauges.
Fully working pre owned gauge cluster are in stock if required.
Just drop me a PM if I can help further.
I have 2 x VLSDs in stock, 29.000 and 38,000 miles
Both are fully working and both been running on fresh fluids.
