Perhaps the old alternator was over charging, which would have fried the battery and melted the wiring. If that is the case then just swopping out the battery and alternator is not a permanent fix as the faulty wiring will still need to be sorted or your car may well go on fire. Then you will have the hassle of a big total loss insurance claim.

Is the DE generally a longer or shorter belt than the RevUp? I have always supplied and fitted the 6PK 1173 to both models. My understanding is that there is only one size of serpentine belt for both models. The exceptions are pulley delete and if you have changed the pulley size.

Both the early DE and both the DE rev up engines are sold. Only the HR engines and gearboxes are left in stock at the moment.

6 PK1173 will fit both early DE and rev up models.

Michael, Sounds like the compression rod (banana arm) Nissan UK will not sell you the bushing on its own as they prefer to sell you the complete arm Genuine Nissan compression bushings are in stock and good to go same/nest day. Just drop me a PM when you are ready to buy. Alex.
