  1. OH HAI Which MR2? SW20? I used to have a ZZW30, loved it.
  2. Oh be quiet. It's a car, and a bloody good one at that. Stereotypes are just pathetic.
  3. PMSL They're very good cars, very good indeed. The engine is one of the all time greats, the chassis very exploitable and the overall package very cohesive. Interior is a bit dull but functional, and I'd avoid one with the carbon fibre bits as they look quite naff. Be aware of VANOS issues and a good service history is a must, but other than that I can't fault them. They are quicker than a Zed all other things being equal, but they don't feel that much quicker.

Be careful with running half-cages: Depending on where the bar sits and how close it is to your head, you may end up in the situation where you need to wear a helmet every time you drive just in case. It was something I had to look at myself very carefully with the MX5.
  5. If they do, I'll buy one. That's a promise. But they won't. So I won't.
  6. Why 4WD? Unless you live in the proper sticks, then a cheapy FWD hatch on winter tyres will be equally as effective. Having owned an Impreza recently, I can promise you they're not as good in the snow as you would hope!
  7. If it's power you want, then grab the revup airbox or just the inlet trumpet and retrofit to yours) and pop a decent panel filter into it.
  8. Unless you have an Uprev or other ECU fitted, it will make zero difference. Stick with what you have, even if it was tuned for it you're talking the best part of 1 or 2 hp extra. For the cost of the Typhoon, it's not worth it IMHO. Put that money towards an Uprev, much better value.
  9. All pre-orders now come with a free copy of FIFA14 Not my cup of tea really, but I won't pass up a free game.
  10. Yup. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=27942 £61.5K, but that's with the Z51 pack as standard. There is no better performance bargain available in the UK today.
  11. I think the Zed is quite lucky in that aspect, it's got a very wide cabin and I'm not aware of any seats that simply wouldn't fit full stop. You may need the correct runners, but again there's plenty of options there. Safety regs is a good one, I certainly wouldn't remotely consider buying anything that isn't a genuine seat: For example, eBay is littered with Bride knock-offs.
  12. SOMEONE GRAB THE BAN HAMMER
  13. Try them first. Demon Tweeks have a good range for you to have a sit in, I suspect there's other places as well: Someone did mention that GPR at Silverstone also do this, but I've never been to confirm. Definitely try first though!
  14. Amen, brother! But yeah, Adam wasn't real. Sadly, the Vauxhall Adam is.
  15. It's only a screw, I'd go to a local fixings shop and try and blag a freebie.
  16. It's just a really poor name for a really poor car. Had a good look round one at the PHSS in Luton the other week, it's just an incredibly shoddy and cheap looking car. I'd rather a Kia at that sort of price.
  17. I think you mean 'who', not 'how'. And of course people care how words are pronounced, as it would make life significantly more difficult if we all pronounced words differently. It's called 'language', and that's how they work: By people using a common form so that they can be understood.
  18. I already covered that Anything that isn't the regular marque would be okay to post stock (so any of those on here would be fine) as they're not something that people see every single day, unless it's SMD's Jag It's just stock car pictures of a given club that I find pointless IYSWIM. Might as well just post a pic from the brochure.
  19. Except that Neesahn is the correct pronunciation. Japanese, innit. That's actually a bad UK translation, and we're fully in the wrong on that one. See also Braun (Brown) and Nike (Nykee, although most people get that right these days). Up would be a good name. up! is a crap one, as it breaks all sorts of grammar rules. Cee'd and Procee'd I can live with.
  20. Adam is an incredibly stupid name for a car, no argument here. It's nearly as bad as Ka. Nearly.
  21. No fear, the shine from your tinfoil hat will keep them away
  22. Only if they agree with me, of course
  23. Ooh, this thread got far more interesting comments than I'd expected, been out all day so first chance to catch up. All valid points made by folks, I don't think there's a right or wrong, it was just something I noticed that I found a bit weird. Genuinely not having a pop or trying to alienate anyone, the most important thing is that that the buyer has got a car they're really happy with and proud of.
