  1. Woah, hang on a bit. How long did you leave the car before taking the reading? I'd be leaving a good 20 mins just in case, and making sure it was on proper level ground too. Did you take numerous (5+) readings to confirm? Are you 100% sure of the level? I ask as if it is full and you've either got a faulty gauge or read the level wrong, then by adding more oil you've just as big a risk of doing some serious damage by popping seals et al with too much oil. Try spinning the dipstick in the tube if possible to get a more even reading.
  2. Alex Salmond has no idea what he's talking about. Whether or not it would be a good thing for Scotland is pure guesswork as no-one can predict the future, however the risks about currency and the future of Scotland in the EU are very real and the really scary thing is that he has zero idea about what will happen. Read the Yes website and be truly astounded as to just how much groping in the dark he's doing. One of the biggest trumpets blown by the Yes side is that Scotland is rich with oil, so they'll be okay. That's very true, but they will also have to share a massive part of the UK's debt and I can promise you that there will be a deal struck where the UK will right off Scotland's share in return for rights to the oil and other goodies like the fishies in the sea. The UK will remain unaffected, but suddenly Scotland will have much less bargaining power with their oil than they are saying they will. Despite all that, I don't know whether it would be best for Scotland to go it alone or not. Long term it may well be, or it could be a complete disaster, but certainly chest-beating and mathematical guesswork doesn't seem like a good basis to strike out on your own to me. I'd rather you guys up north stayed with us, but tbh it really won't affect us south of the border much regardless: The risk is all yours.
  3. The real truth is that no-one has the faintest idea what's going on. If they did, then the scientists would have a consensus and we could move forward with a plan (like happened with the ozone layer and CFCs), but they don't so everyone guesses and invariably it's the WE'RE ALL DOOMED theories that float to the top and make the most noise. Until someone can prove something one way or another, I'm carrying on as I am. That doesn't mean being wasteful and not giving a toss about my actions, but neither does it mean heading back to living in the dark ages.
  4. Very pretty, but the general consensus is that it doesn't drive as well as it looks which makes it utterly pointless.
  5. ^^^ This. Why did you carry on driving the car when a big red light warning you of low oil popped up?
  6. Announced by who? There's nothing on the Ferrari F1 page, official F1 site, BBC or Autosport pages about this.
  7. It's only £40 you tight git I should have far more GSP than I do, considering the amount of games I own
  8. Ah hell yeah, you're in a lot of the races I do! We should do a proper thread, really. For GTs, I mean.

Or if it has a waving flag smiley in the text. That's usually spam and can be ignored, too.
  10. What's your GT?
  11. That person is correct. That person also happens to have been me, but that's irrelevant Genuinely though, as long as you have pressure there and it's not bottoming out on either scale, then that's all you really need to worry about. Oil level, viscosity and time of day can make a massive difference to the pressure, so just go with somewhere between min and max.
  12. In theory it should mimic how you drive, but I've no frame of reference to see how accurate it is. In fairness mine's probably quite aggressive too, as I tend to look for gaps between cars then barge my way through, and I'll often do the cutback on consecutive corners just to give myself track position. I do like it though, makes it seem much more real than just racing against the AI. I assume it uses the actual cars we've picked too? In the modern FWD hatch championship yours was a black hatch of some kind, maybe a Golf?
  13. If you've still got Mobil 1 left over, then I'd use that too. There may be better oils out there, but it's still very good stuff.
  14. You really should mate, I know I bang on about it but it's such a powerful area to visit. You'd love it.
  15. Knock the difficulty up if you can, each step seems to massively help removing the bumper cars element.
  16. Sam Mcgoo, you are an utter knob jockey. You have really pi**ed me off today, I hate you with a passion, you absolute bellend. Well, not you personally, but your drivatar is a right sod, smashing me off every corner by outbreaking itself. Irritating to the extreme!
  17. Told you it was good I've got that same snap of the map from my visit there five years back, bloody nightmare to capture properly due to the light in the room!
  18. Whatever you do, I would ALWAYS buy from someone in the UK. That way, if something goes wrong and it's damaged or lost or whatever, you're only dealing with one point of contact who actually lives in this country and is governed by UK contract law. Try getting your money back from someone in the US can be a real PITA. You may well pay a bit more, but what price peace of mind?
  19. Tbh, I don't think I've ever used a bad shampoo. Some are different than others, but bad? Nope.
  20. +1 Am currently trying the Poorboys one too which I'm also happy with. The Ph neutral shampoo that came with a Waxybox a few months ago is the best I've ever used though, can't remember the manufacturer now.
  21. You can drive a lot of the circuit from the Mulsanne straight down to the Porsche Curves, and definitely try and visit the museum there: It's the best I've ever been to, much better than any in the UK. You can grab a sneaky pic of your car in front of the main gate too if you don't mind being cheeky Don't forget to do the Normandy beaches over everything else (LM included) if you have time. No matter what time of year, they're breathtakingly emotional.
  22. How much?
  23. A Zed won't be cheap to track. Fuel, tyres, brakes... It'll eat those. What it will be is massive fun, even my old Roadster with just a few choice handling mods was a hoot and that weighed over 1600kg.
  24. Commiserations I mean, congrats!
  25. I'm waiting for the Mad Catz one, or until the other wheels are available for the Thrustmaster one as I can't think of anything more pretentious than using the 458 wheel My TV mount for the Kinect finally came, so I've mounted that today and have gained so much more movement space it's unreal. The new widescreen sensor really is a cracking piece of kit.
