Depends on other outgoings, and whether you're happy with finance. Some people never want to use finance at all which can limit their options, but they may have no mortgage so have plenty of spare cash. Others may need finance because of a large mortgage, however they will be able to get a newer/better car because of this. Some have kids, some like holidays... Too many variables. All I know is I spend waaaaay too much money on cars

The best judges of how desirable a car is are young kids. They have no idea about badges or handling or anything like that, they just say what's cool. That said, please don't start hanging around outside a school at 3pm trying to get their opinions on your car

For some people it will be their dream car, or at least their realistic dream car. I don't get the animosity to it, I really don't. If your dream car is a 12 year old Nissan, is that not setting your sights equally as low?

My what on an old Nissan forum? I'm here because I have friends here, what's your excuse? I don't care what others think about my car, so admiration is irrelevant to me. I didn't say that an Astra would get more attention than a Zed, nor did I say it was better, nor did I say I wanted one. What I did say is that Vauxhall is by no means a 'worse' brand than Nissan, and anyone who thinks otherwise needs a sanity check. A new Astra VXR will be quicker on general roads than a Zed would, but then so it should be: It's a much newer car that weighs less and has the same power, with a turbo on it. I still wouldn't want one, but that's by the by.

I didn't find the SLS as mind-bendingly fast I thought it would be, oddly. See, I don't really consider the 911TT to be a supercar anymore, but when you consider that the 991 is quicker than a 458 with better build quality and a price tag that near enough matches it, then I think it should stay there. I don't put the GT-R in that category for the simple reason it has a Nissan badge and the interior is not up to scratch. In terms of performance it blows everything else away, but it's just those two things that mean it doesn't quite make supercar status. Each to their own, I know that's not going to be a popular viewpoint on a Nissan forum, but there you go.

So RS3 on the rear, 050A on the front? Assuming the 050A aren't completely shot, I'd expect you to be feeling oversteer more than you did before. That said, if you have little feel at the front, then check rear tyre pressures. And please take it very easy until you can match the rears at the front.

Must admit I agree with Kyle. Mobil 1 is by far the better stuff, but if you don't really stress the engine to the fullest then putting the cheaper stuff in is okay. I run that in the MR2.

I loved my Focus I've no doubt people mock me behind my back about the stickers on the 911, but it really doesn't bother me at all. As long as I'm happy, that's all I care about
