  1. No, but all beta testers are under the NDA, hence the reason there's very little info on it on the interweb Put it this way, as it stands I wouldn't be buying it. It felt like an MMO rather than an Elder Scrolls MMO, if you see what I mean.
  2. Technically I'm under an NDA so can't say very much at all, but make of this what you will: Skyrim (& Oblivion, applies to both) were very tough at the start, and you had to actively avoid enemies until you levelled up enough. Combat was superb though in those. The graphics were impressive, even on the older 360 hardware, and the UI was handled very well. You always felt like you knew what you wanted to do and where you had to go, and the crafting system came naturally. In short, it was a very fun game with incredible depth. TESO is nothing like that.
  3. Find me a forum that isn't cliquey and I'll find you a forum that's devoid of life. All the best forums I've ever used have had a core clique, but that didn't make them bad places. It may take a little longer to get into them, but once you do you get a sense of camaraderie that you don't get from the more staid forums. You wouldn't walk into a pub for the first time and start shouting your face off, so why people expect to waltz onto an internet forum and be welcomed with open arms I don't know. That said, this place is a hell of a lot friendlier than others I've been on. Spyderchat could be very rough on the noobs!
  4. I played TESO Beta at the weekend. It was horrendous.
  5. I found the Nikon menus on my D90 easier to navigate than the Canon equivalent. May not sound like much, but I do believe that when it comes down to it (much like I guess you've found) you're picking over the tiny details as both manufacturers make awesome bodies. My kit lens was an 18-105mm, which I find very good for most things except even at 105mm the zoom isn't great. I had to buy a 70-300 lens as well for the motorsport stuff I enjoy shooting, but really I could do with a good wide angle to complement them. I've been looking at the 10-24 lens Nikon do, but haven't taken the plunge yet.
  6. *grammar Nazi five*
  7. That's great news mate, well chuffed for you
  8. Got mine today, only signed up this morning
  9. Explains the lack of fanny thing you had going on for ages then
  10. To remain profitable? Maybe, maybe not. To protect themselves from personal injury claims when people have accidents and die? Absolutely.
  11. Just eat a pizza

    Gear Knobs

Why adjustable? If you have it set high then you'll need a short shift kit otherwise it'll take you a metre to change gear, but if you do that then if you set it low then you'll have to put your foot behind it to move it. Or have I missed the point of it?
  13. Personally I think it's a piece of cake, but then I did mine without any issues at all following the handy guides on here. I scratched the centre console a little lifting it in and out, and the mounts never fitted quite right, and the wiring was a mess, but it worked. If I'd come up against a major issue (like some have) then it would've been highly unlikely that I could've solved it with my fat thumbs. All depends on how lucky you get, as well as how comfortable you feel doing it.
  14. You can get it for £300 on Amazon, actually. Buy it yourself and then get them to fit the rest?
  15. Yes, I'd say that was reasonable. Working at a sensible mark-up rate, and the cost of running a business, that seems fair. How did you expect to get it for £400 when the unit itself is £350?
  16. Y'know, I doubt that very much. Having read Ecclestone's biography, I can't see that that's his sort of thing at all. He may be partially funding a bid with others, but certainly not by himself. Mark my words though kids, if you want to drive the 'Ring then I suggest you do it this year. You may never get the chance once it's been sold.
  17. That's okay mate, I think we've forgiven you by now I kinda know what you're getting at though. A mate of mine is going through a phase of liking a certain thing which is currently fashionable, and now they've gone and got a massive tattoo of this thing on them. Three years ago they couldn't stand this thing, and now they're mad for it. In a couple more years' time, I think they're going to realise they've made a massive mistake. At least Dip wanted the original Ferrari logo for years, long enough that he knew he'd like it regardless. I may not like it personally, but massive respect for at least waiting until he was sure.
  18. I go to the gym loads, just so I can eat more. I don't get the whole metabolism and drinking protein shakes to boost weight gain, I just run like f*ck on the AMT to make myself sweat so I can go home and tuck into a KFC.
  19. No it's not, it's full of over-opinionated tosspots. Like me.
  20. Not me. Definitely not me.
  21. I suspect I would, yes. Given an M135i that I'd actually buy sits around £35K, that's an awful lot of money you can put into mods. I'd need to drive the Scooby to ensure that the 2.5L still revs well, but if it does then I'd take the Jap over the German. I adored our old Impreza, far more than I should have. As good as the M135i is, personally for me it just doesn't look anything special and I'd feel like I was just in a slightly better shopping trolley. Same reason I swapped the M3 for the 911, I guess.
  22. There's a bit more to Remote Access than that. I've used it a few times, and it's very clear that you have to give permission for someone to take over your PC, and you can cancel it at any time by a single click.
  23. Hot water does not always freeze faster than cold. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, that's what has scientists baffled. Will's right, hot water from the tap at circa 45-50 deg is perfect for the job. Any warmer, like from a kettle, as you risk cracking glass. Any colder and you might as well just wave your willy at it.
