    Gear Knobs

Why adjustable? If you have it set high then you'll need a short shift kit otherwise it'll take you a metre to change gear, but if you do that then if you set it low then you'll have to put your foot behind it to move it. Or have I missed the point of it?
  2. Personally I think it's a piece of cake, but then I did mine without any issues at all following the handy guides on here. I scratched the centre console a little lifting it in and out, and the mounts never fitted quite right, and the wiring was a mess, but it worked. If I'd come up against a major issue (like some have) then it would've been highly unlikely that I could've solved it with my fat thumbs. All depends on how lucky you get, as well as how comfortable you feel doing it.
  3. You can get it for £300 on Amazon, actually. Buy it yourself and then get them to fit the rest?
  4. Yes, I'd say that was reasonable. Working at a sensible mark-up rate, and the cost of running a business, that seems fair. How did you expect to get it for £400 when the unit itself is £350?
  5. Y'know, I doubt that very much. Having read Ecclestone's biography, I can't see that that's his sort of thing at all. He may be partially funding a bid with others, but certainly not by himself. Mark my words though kids, if you want to drive the 'Ring then I suggest you do it this year. You may never get the chance once it's been sold.
  6. That's okay mate, I think we've forgiven you by now I kinda know what you're getting at though. A mate of mine is going through a phase of liking a certain thing which is currently fashionable, and now they've gone and got a massive tattoo of this thing on them. Three years ago they couldn't stand this thing, and now they're mad for it. In a couple more years' time, I think they're going to realise they've made a massive mistake. At least Dip wanted the original Ferrari logo for years, long enough that he knew he'd like it regardless. I may not like it personally, but massive respect for at least waiting until he was sure.
  7. I go to the gym loads, just so I can eat more. I don't get the whole metabolism and drinking protein shakes to boost weight gain, I just run like f*ck on the AMT to make myself sweat so I can go home and tuck into a KFC.
  8. No it's not, it's full of over-opinionated tosspots. Like me.
  9. I suspect I would, yes. Given an M135i that I'd actually buy sits around £35K, that's an awful lot of money you can put into mods. I'd need to drive the Scooby to ensure that the 2.5L still revs well, but if it does then I'd take the Jap over the German. I adored our old Impreza, far more than I should have. As good as the M135i is, personally for me it just doesn't look anything special and I'd feel like I was just in a slightly better shopping trolley. Same reason I swapped the M3 for the 911, I guess.
  10. There's a bit more to Remote Access than that. I've used it a few times, and it's very clear that you have to give permission for someone to take over your PC, and you can cancel it at any time by a single click.
  11. Hot water does not always freeze faster than cold. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, that's what has scientists baffled. Will's right, hot water from the tap at circa 45-50 deg is perfect for the job. Any warmer, like from a kettle, as you risk cracking glass. Any colder and you might as well just wave your willy at it.
  12. Could well be, unlikely but not impossible good spot matey
  13. I did wonder that. Whilst it's not impossible you saw one, I must admit I think it's very unlikely since it's literally only just been launched for the first time anywhere at a car show.
  14. One's the concept. Or you've really missed the joke
  15. I keep telling you people, no scrabble wagons!
  16. Serious?! Well f*ck, I'm out then.
  17. 305bhp, 290ft/lb, £29K. And it looks like that. Where do I sign up? Seriously, I'd be very happy with that assuming it still has unequal headers.

    Next car?

Yeah, the 3S-GTE block is a little bit good at taking power. Bit heavy, but then it's an old engine so that's to be expected.

    Next car?

    As in the ST205s?
  20. Not big talk at all, in fact he didn't use a single capital letter
  21. Don't go anywhere near the Alps, it'll be snow covered and you won't get any decent roads. Loads of great roads in France, or if you can get there then the N260 in northern Spain is amazing. No idea how that would sit with snow though this time of year, I know the French bit will be awful but the Spanish bit might be okay. Ferry across to Santander and go from there, or just drive all the way through France. May or may not help you?
