  1. I do get what you guys are saying, but: Park at the far end of car parks, and walk further Birds sh*t everywhere, even when you're driving My car is also mint, using it doesn't ruin it Nothing is cooler than driving a decent car to the chip shop Except maybe a filthy dirty covered in mud car that shows the car isn't a garage queen So this: Is cooler than this: But not as cool as this: All tongue-in-cheek, no offence meant
  2. Italian tune up
  3. With zero technical knowledge, but years of practical experience, I do the following: Road car: 10k miles or 12mths, oil and filter Road & track car: 5k/6mth miles for oil, 10k/12mth for oil & filter For my own 90% track car, I'll do an oil change every three track days. If it looks okay and I'm not burning it excessively, then I'll push that to five track days and do the filter then too. Porsche recommend oil & filter every 20k/24mth. For me, that's miles too long, and I stick with 10k/12mth.
  4. Because the general public are morons. Democracy only works if you assume intelligence.
  5. He wrestles bears. Naked. He is a man's man. Which is ironic, after the whole gay thing.
  6. Interesting question. I honestly don't know, but I'd love you to go and get another one done and see if there's much difference between the two tunes.
  7. The 911 is a weekend only car, doesn't mean I don't take it to Tesco on Saturday just because I can

    Golf R32

It's almost an inline 6, very narrow angle on the V (15deg IIRC).
  9. If an insurer asks you about a SAC, you have two choices: 1. Tell them the truth. 2. Don't tell them, and take your business elsewhere. You cannot and must not lie to them: You're only asking to end up in a massive bag of the brown stuff if you do.
  10. See, that's what I don't get. There's nowhere I can't/wouldn't take the 911: Car parks, multi storey, country dirt roads, seriously tight lanes on the IoM, anywhere. I don't see the point in owning a car that you can use every day and then being limited as to where you can go with it.
  11. I actually spotted it earlier this afternoon, after browsing PH for the nth time this week
  12. I want that so hard it hurts.
  13. I'll set 'em up, you knock 'em down

It's the easiest way, really. There are other more technical ways, and the speedo could be replaced I guess, but it's highly unlikely.
  15. That's because it's all made up. No more truth to any of that than this: NEWS JUST IN: Schumacher has woken up, and asked for a packet of Jaffa Cakes in fluent Japanese. Sadly, he now thinks his name is Hoisin Tinky Ping Ping, and will only eat the aforementioned McVities snack. An inside expert has confirmed that he also now strictly wears leotards in bright green, and loves watching re-runs of Dallas. This insider has also claimed that he expects Michael to return to top level motorsport next week, when Vettel quits RB to become a house husband so his fit wife can take up pro-wrestling. Just as believable.
  16. I wouldn't know what to do with any of them Well, apart from the DBS. I'd spank that.

Why is it dyslexic people can always spell dyslexic properly? Also, why are most of them on the internet? As has been said, you'll need a Revup engine. At what point does the redline start? If 6.5k it's a normal DE, if 7k it's a Revup.
  18. Hire a dB meter from Bookatrack and do it properly. It's £9 including p&p. Why more people don't do this and know for 99% sure, I don't know. Drive-by you'll never be able to test, of course, but if you fly through the static then you're unlikely to have an issue there.
  19. I can promise you that the cheapy ELM wifi dongle on eBay for like £6 works perfectly with Dash Command, itself about £6 on the App Store. Been using it for a couple of weeks now, across both Jap (MR2) and German (Mini) cars.

    Buster Baffled

Didn't know if you had a cheap noise meter handy to test, would be great to know just how much it reduced it by

What's the dB reduction between baffled and non-baffled? Some great lateral thinking there chaps
  22. Not sure how the insurance would view that Ask them, but I can't believe they'd have an issue with it. I've removed the airbag from the MR2 with no problem.
